Hey everyone,
I'm moving to LA (West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area) for the summer to do an internship. Looking for somebody decent to hit with. I would say I'm low 5.5.
Where would you suggest me to look for some good competition?

Hey there. I'm right in the West Hollywood/Hollywood Hills area and would love to hit. Matt (Maximagq) is a very good player as well and UCLA is a great venue to play at. Also right in the WeHo area is Plummer Park -- some good players there now and then too and they just resurfaced the courts too. I hit there quite a bit as well.

Thanks guys! I'm not in LA yet, but I'll be there on Sunday. I'm getting an apartment starting June 15. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to stay for a few days on a tight budget?

And as for NTRP level, I might be at/below your level. I estimated my rating based on beating several ******* 5.0 players quite easily, but I heard that the level is higher in SouthCal. And i'm also one of those pusher/grinder type of a player that people tend to underestimate haha. So we'll see!

Cool. And no worries about levels -- as long as you are up for a good hit no problem. All kinds of good guys I hit with etc from teaching pros to top blue chip juniors to D1 players to guys just going on or coming off the pro tour etc. You won't be lacking in hitting partners.

As for where to stay cheaply in the area...Shoot me an email and I'll give you some suggestions.
