Hi guys,
I'm a dutch former teaching pro looking for the ideal string setup op my prince 93p 14x18. My style of play is an allcourt game with very high ball speeds. I control the ball with a combination of launch angle and spin. My baseline strokes have a rather flat trajectory, while still having a decent amount of rpm's on it. I go for big shots since while my shotmaking is excellent, i think i would lose to every member here in a best of 5 scenario cause of poor mentality combined with a lack of endurance.
I've switched to the 93p cause of shoulder issues caused by 40+ hours on court each week (playing and teaching). I've tried some string combo's and haven't found the sweetspot yet. Maybe you guys can get me in the right direction since there is so much to choose from.
What i look for in my strings:
1. The ability to control the depth of my shots with spin.
2. Being able to ''feel'' the ball on the stringbed for placement.
3. Work while not strung super tight (the excessive jarring of some strings can put stress on my shoulder while serving)
Power is completely irrelevant since i can produce that on my own.
What have i been using until now:
- multiple multi's in a full bed -Sensation/Velocity/Xcel etc. (didn't like it, no control)
- Hybrid: confidential 1.15/wilson sensation 1.30 41/44 (couldn't hit a single ball in, balls flew on me, no spin)
- Fullbed: Signum pro tornado 1.25 44/41 (some grip, some control, not much controlled feel)
- Fullbed: Rpm Power 1.25 41/41 (way to much power, spin lacking)
The strings i have in mind:
- Confidential
- Tour Bite
- Hyper G
- Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour
- Cyclone
<Don't appeal to me but maybe u can convince me otherwise>
- Alu Power (Rough)
- 4G
Hope one of you can set me off in the right direction, it would be appreciated if you could elaborate about the details and the why's.
