Wtf. I thought he was down a break early in the second. How's that holding serve almost for the whole match?

Yeah, the really terrible thing was that Fed was up a break in the second 4-2, and lost it 6-4. Then went on to hold serve for like 3 hours straight after rain delay. Should have done that in the second, brother.

How about a 5 set match where the loser only got broken once? There was a slam final not too many years ago where this happened. In fact, the winner of that match was broken 2 or 3 times as I recall.

You talking about Federer and Roddick's last Wimbledon final? Roddick was broken once (in the last game), Federer twice.

there was also the final of the 1996 masters between sampras and becker !
(an epic match... and one of the reasons why we need again a best-of-5 final at the masters !)

It is truly incredible that Nadal was only broken once in the 2008 Wimbledon final vs Federer AND was only broken 5 times in the 2010 US Open (tying the all-time US Open record).
