500-600 $ Stringing Machines

I have seen many different stringing machines on the web, and many of them are very similar. I think I'm going to buy a drop-weigh stringing machine, because I can't afford an electronic one. What should I look for in these machines? Most of them have 6 points to stretch the racquet, have swivel clamps (is that the correct way to talk about it? ) and an arm to pull the strings. What other points have to be considered to buy a stringing machine?

I have thought about this one, because Tennis Warehouse doesn't send so heavy parcels to my country.

It costs me about 400-500 $ and they give me over 200$ in strings

What do you think about this machine?

Thank you!

PS: Sorry for my mistakes, I'm just studying English.

You should also check into the availability of the Stringway/Laserfibre machines in your area. I believe the LF ECO with fixed clamps is in the $600 price range. The LF machines are unique because they only require one pull with the arm to reach the set tension. They also have high quality construction.

I have been visiting their website, and their machines only have 4 points to hold the racquet. Is this a good system?

The LF machines do have a good support system. If mounted properly and strung within a reasonable tension range, the frame will never distort from the tip to the throat, which is where it's weakest.

From a previous post, here are two good drop weight machines, under the $600 mark.

Check out these URL for both the Alpha Pioneer DC Plus and the Eagnas Combo 710, and if both machines are made by different manufacturers, perhaps they share a common parts supplier.

I looked at the Alpha and it is a decent machine. I like the Combo 710 it has all the features you need, but do not own one. My Star Y-12has been solid as a rock for over 400 racket stringing, it cost around $450.

According to GuyPerez the LF's cost

The information I got many weeks ago was as follows:

MS 200TT $879 with Dual Action clamps and $999 with Single action. Period, that is what you pay, that is the charge on your credit card. Don't remember about shipping.

Good luck with your shopping.

$469 from A t s sports.com, Gamma X6-FC,

nothing better anywhere near the price--6pt mounting, constant pull, ratcheting tensioner, fixed all-metal thin profile clamps. Gamma is good quality too, VERY FEW COMPLAINTS about them on these boards...

Oh dear!! All the machines look the same!!! I think I will buy the one I have thought, which costs about 400 $ and that brings about 200$ in strings for free. I think it is a good price, and it has the same things I can see in other machines.

Hard to beat Gamma and ATS! Gamma has a rep which visits this board if you have any questions.

I owned one for 7 years, never failed.
