I am glad. These are literally only things he has againts and Djo. I think it wasn't smart to write thread like this one, as it can only backfire(and saying that Nadal leads outdoor grass 2:1 againts Djokovic... says everything about his records)

He has that intangible - his peak years were PEAK. Dethroning Federer in 2008. Getting the Career slam, no Golden slam, in his actual peak.
Djokovic had to wait until Federer and Nadal's peaks were done before he got all his 'numbers' together. :-D:laughing::-D

He stopped Fed's 65-match grass winning streak in 2008. Interestingly, it was Federer who stopped Nadal's 81-win clay streak and also Djokovic's 41-win streak in 2011, so Fed also deserves some props.

Fair to bring this up. However, the Gold Medal which included a Bo5 Final is not included. In addition, only 22 out of those 65 titles required a Bo5 final while Nadal won 31 titles that required a Bo5 final. This included defeating GS champions to win 500 titles that required a Bo5 final (Barcelona and Stuttgart).

Next thread.

Nadal and Djokovic combined vs Federer and Djokovic combined vs Federer and Nadal combined.

ROFL. Its getting too hilarious for me to see these lists. Trying to include false stats as well. Superb :)

Ultimatetennisstas has incorrect info (might be technical issue) for example in their Bo5 stats they often leave out Bo5 matches OUTSIDE of Slams and Davis Cup. For example, they have Borg as the highest Bo5 match winning percentage at 89%. Borg has the highest GS winning pct Open era but not the overall highest winning BO5 percentage. In fact, both Nadal and Djokovic have higher Bo5 match percentages. The real numbers are:

Nadal 345-44 88.7% (highest open era)
Djokovic 364-54 87.0%
Borg 205-33 85.2% (non-ATP not included as Invitational and small draw tournaments even with those he goes to about 86.4% still lower than bull and joker)

Edit: technical glitch may explain why site has different data

But the winner is Most weeks in top 2... It sum on everything we need to know, lol...

exactly...sweeping clay season for 20 years while calling "injured" on other surfaces will not always give you #1 spot...
after all, it is just about 30% of the Tour content. Other 70%...you are waaaayyyy behind both of your major competitors...

How many non-clay bo5 he has? 10? or less?

He was 6-0 vs Nadal in 2011, right after 2010, when Nadal had his best year! Nadal had all these 'fake' injuries, no wonder they couldn't face each other besides RG!

In case you hadn't heard, within five days of his retirement due to injury against Kyrgios in '22 Wimbledon, he was jet skiing in the Med! He knew he had no chance against Kyrgios and Djokovic, so he had his 'serious' injury!

If he had known the result against Tiafoe in '22 UO, he would have come up with another 'injury'!

He did say in November that he had another ab injury at USO

Winning percentage because he was so dominant on clay. Nole destroys him on all other surfaces. Singles titles, again inflated because of clay. More US OPen titles is big but I assume DJoker surpasses him there before retirement IF hes allowed to play Flushing.

Not sure about the Olympic Gold. Im sure Djoker will nab that one too before retirement.. Alot of those advantages are all clay court related. Nadal hasn't beaten him since the Obama administration anywhere else

Actually Roger was at his peak in 2015, 2017, 2019 per his own assessment, so Novak getting the better of him, especially on his own (literal) turf is astonishing

Any Slam tournament that Nadal lost, he picked up another 'injury'! It's hard to keep track of all these injuries.

BTW, since '17 Djokovic leads by 8-2 in off clay Slams. The 2 by Nadal are '19 UO and '22 AO; the latter he vultured!

Hey, it was a joke.

Most people know Serbia is a landlocked country, so there's no Serbian sea.

Everybody knows he lives in a tax paradise, where he doesn't pay any taxes to his country, unlike Murray, or Nadal.
And anyone with any brains should understand the difference between Serbian and UK/Spanish governments, corruption etc. would I pay my “taxes” into Serbian government or do my own donations for specific cause that overshadow tax amount? The answer is simple…

so, what is the point of your last sentence above??

Since you fancy yourself as a bright fella, I'll ask you to enlighten me by way of explaining the difference between the above mentioned countries.
Will you?

You should ask your parents to teach the basics about Serbian corruption, government and projects going on... The laws are politically driven and enforced. Or maybe, it is more obvious to me since I was born there and have my family and friends living there... I would not put my investments there...yet...
As for the UK/Spain....they have the laws...that are enforced...

Anyone knowledgeable about geopolitics and foreign policy knows this, but Djokofans will call you a 'racist'

Eastern Euro/Slavic countries have weak states and no respect for civil institutions. Not safe for business and investment

Also. I know most here see WTF/YEC as pointless exhos, but Rafa having a big fat "0" is pretty glaring considering his 'pigeons' both have 6

Even if he had 1 or 2, that would look better. But 0 is like...dude, what were you doing that you couldn't do this even once?

In my opinion, at this moment Nadal has only two meaningful stats worth mentioning over Djokovic. 1 slam more and Olympics singles gold, which btw, could and hopefully will be overtaken in a next two years. The other listed "advantages" are just trivial stats, nothing else...

5-4 GS Finals (6 outside of clay), 15-11 (Slams, National Representation, ATP Finals with a distribution of 12 HC, 11 Clay, 3 Grass) and if you throw IW he still leads 16-14. Higher Bo5 winning pct even with less clay matches, plus better DC record, and a higher GS winning pct 88.2% (115 Clay matches) vs 87.7% (184 HC matches). A higher
GS winning pct despite 69 fewer matches on his favorite surface perhaps doesn't mean too much to some but far from trivial.

As for as no YEC a legit hole on his resume. However, if getting 2 silver medals on your least favorite surface (indoor HC) is bad then what does winning Silver (Fed) and Bronze (Djok) mean for them on their favorite surfaces? Both of the aforementioned had chances in Grass and HC while the Clay specialist never had one crack on clay nor in a Bo5 final.

As for as the slam race, I think it depends on the youngest generation if Alcaraz, Rune, Sinner, and FAA don't win slams then Djokovic will likely tie or win the race in 2 years, but I learned never to bet against Nadal. As for Gold the 2024 Olympics will be on Clay and perhaps Zverev (if healthy) or Alcaraz can wrestle for it. It's too speculative to know how much Joker and Bull have left at that point.

Well, one thing is for certain....

It's not 51 anymore.

And this - 31. Most weeks in Top 2 - LOL, Djokovic shooting himself in the foot here, by spending too many weeks at number one. Dang.
