6.1 95 and shoulder pain

Using Head I.Prestige mp and like it. Used a Wilson 6.1 95 for a month (2012) version and had constant shoulder pain. Strings are the same. Soft co-poly mains with multi crosses.
Anyone experienced this with Wilson 6.1? I like the performance of the racket.

The red one, not the Pro Staff? Then it's a bit stiff at 67RA. Avoid co-polys altogether. If you still have pain, heal, rest, and avoid the racquet.

What are the strings and tension? Just saying it's an hybrid doesn't tell us much things.

It's a fairly heavy frame. Do you think the shoulder pain is coming from serving?

Shoulder pain can be tricky. Tendinitis can come and go. It might have been the racquet, but it might have been somethng else you were doing. I would be surprised if the shoulder pain immediately went away when you changed racquets, but your post is a little vague on the timing. Obviously, if that is what happened, it looks like the racquet is the problem.

Strung with WeissCannon Silverstring at 51 lbs in mains and Prince Premier Attack 56 in crosses.
It's heavy..but so is my I. Prestige and has not bothered me.

Is 67 overly stiff? The racquet is very powerful especially on serve and backhand. Meaning, I think maybe the stiffness adds a bit of pop /power??
Anyway, I am happy with Prestige..just wondering if people had similar experiences..

You're more than likely trying to use your arm too much in your service motion. Look up pro serves on YouTube and try to copy them. Shoulder pain should be helped, an if it isn't then just buy a new prestige mp if thats what you liked before.

Overly no, but some people are more sensible to higher stiffness than others. Not everybody is made equal. And indeed, stiffer frames gives more power. Put a Pure Drive (70+RA) and a Prestige (low 60'sRA) and you'll feel the difference in comfort and power pretty easily.

I use this racket in the 16/18 pattern ad have been ok mainly using pull poly. I do think its the most dampened version they have done, then agin it is a heavy racket so it is understandable.

The Head Prestige is a much more arm-friendly racquet. My top list of arm friendly racquets include the HEAD-Youtek-IG-Prestige-MP
