7Frames Test (01) – G360+ Radical MP/Pro, G360+ Gravity Pro, Tf40 (305), Blade v7

I will start my series of 7Frames Tests – which will consist of different packages of tested frames. Even if they will be new ones, I will be
testing them along with some classics and competitive frames from other manufactures.

I will be testing today new HEAD adn Tecnifibre frames:
–– Head G360+ Radical Pro
–– Head G360+ Radical MP
–– Head G360+ Gravity Pro
–– Tecnifibre Tf40 (305)

I will be playing with them along with the rackets I used for years months or years.
– Head IG Radical MP (260 mold)
– Wilson Blade 98 v7 (18x20)
– Babolat Pure Control 98 (16x20)

From what I can feel at the moment – old Head/Babolat and Blade v7 are much more flexible and more comfortable frames.

I will be testing by the end of this week also Blade v8 (16x19) and this year incarnation of Dunlop CX200 Tour (18x20).

Is the Babolat Pure Control 98 the Tour version?

Pure Control GT 98. I think Tour should fight against Head Prestige, Dunlop CX(200), Prince Tour 95 and Wilson ProStaff/Six.One
However, there are some rackets in between Radical and Prestige lines – like the new 95" Prestige S/Pro (291 mold) or H22/Blade Pro.
Not sure if this is not my favorite place on the tennis racket map.

OK, was just curious. Yes, the Tour version would be better matched up against the racquets you mentioned as I had the Pure Control Tour and Prince Textreme Tour 95 (2015) together in my bag a few years back as their specs were similar. Look forward to your reviews

Just added Wilson Balde v8 16x19 to tested frames. Expect some thoughts very soon.

Not sure if anybody is awaiting feedback – but I needed more time to write down my feelings about these frames.
I could test them along with the newest Wilson Blade v8 16x19.

By far the best current option is Tecnifibre Tf40. Feel, power, ball-pocketing, stability. Of course, I really like IG Radical MP, but I think Tf40 is just an easier and more modern version of it.
Bought 4x Tf40 (305) after that test. Thanks @TWE Staff for best price!

As I wrote in some other posts and threads – I am disappointed by the new Radical line. In fact, they are the best Radicals since the Innegra era, but honestly, it wasn't hard to win this competion.
Also didn't like Gravity Pro. With such SW it is hard to praise its stability. The feel is average at most.

When it comes to Blade v7 – this is very comfortable frame, but I miss some better feedback, stability and direct feel. I sold my both v7 Blades most recently (16x19, 18x20).
At first I was very disappointed with Blade v8 – not that is was bad frame, but felt much stiffer (despite 61RA) – which I didn't like. I play-tested it again after a few days and I liked it more.
For sure Blade v8 is much more stable and has a bit more power. Ball pocketing is still better with Blade v7, but I played better with v8. Not sure I like the mix of green and brown of v8,
but I do love typography of all recent Wilson's – v8 is not an exception.

Interesting, I liked the TF40 but the feel was not standout to me. Meanwhile the Gravity Pro feels amazing and mine is very stable. Must be QC. I just added a leather grip to the Gravity Pro and that took it up a notch. I suspect the hyrosorb grip can mute the feel a little bit.

Of course I also think the Blade V7 feels great and I used those for a year. It could use a little more direct feel but one key thing is I don't use any of the frames mentioned with dampeners.

I'm very confused how those 2 sentences are compatible? Best radicals in a very long time but you're disappointed?

Tbh the TF was a huge disappointment. GPro is great!

The Graphene Radicals were so bad, so many people complained about health issues with them – so that it isn't a huge sucess to produce a better frame.
However I must say that both Pro & Tour (previously MP and Pro) from both G360+ and Auxetic line are good frames. I think both G360+ Prestige MP and Pro
have slighlty better feel from the new Auxetic line (however they are less stable and powerful).
