8 yo forehand practice (video)

Nice mechanics. He’s still so small, that, if you wish to practice racket drop and the flip, it would be better to have the feed a touch more consistently lower, relative to his size.

On the other hand, higher bounce should result more up and back movement to adjust the impact height into more preferable height to his body. When he is well positioned, he’s got really good rythm and power on his shots. Backhand even more so.

Timing is a touch of now and then on fh, but he restricts the forward movement of the arm nicely, if early. To my understanding, should work on starting the forward movement later instead of holding off the racket, from releasing.

Thanks. He "catch" a habit lately (hiting flat/high to low or something...) and working back to normal.
His size is small (just turn to 8), so maby his racket is to heavy(25" inc), driving him in awkward movement

That may very well be.

I may be a bit unorthodox with the racket weight, but I think, having a touch too heavy stick will give better feel and understanding on the rythm and teach naturally moving it by big muscles as he seems to do.

The trouble would be, that instead of moving it by the rythm, but muscleing it there is an increased risk of injury.

Don't sweat the racket. Babolat is fine if he likes it. Won't make any difference.

He's decelerating on alot of strokes. Keep racket head speed up through contact. Everything else will flow through that.
