Talked to a Yonex Area Salesman via LinkedIn of all places, he said these notes on Ezone:

Same mold, new layup.
Addition of servo filter.

** Other reps have said different Info:
Cosmetic change without change to layup or tech.**

Cosmetic referred to as “Bold”

@bobeeto - I presume VDM will be removed (hopefully), ala the VCP-to-Percept progression? Even with Servo Filter, it should mean a bit more raw/true feel, which opens up more string options, so that's at least a step in the right direction...
more string options? I have VCP 2021 generation and feel like I can put any string in ... but somehow Yonex PT Spin and PT Pro work the best, would like to try with V-Square and Yonex PT Rev in the mains still ... anyhow, I find the racquet quite friendly with vast selection of strings ...

Gravity and Ezone on the other hand were a bit picky, though ... but that's another topic.

but honestly - current Yonex lineup (VCP and Percept included) looks great to me ... each racquet is a looker.

Bold could be a offset color patch added like the pink on the Precept..
Just a thought...I have no idea..
Blue with green accents would look nice..
I think bold could mean the higher contrast stark color blocking of the current VCore, and to some degree the Percept with the pops of pink. The current ezone is pretty mild and safe in comparison with soft color transitions between different shades of blue. I'd expect some blue identity with hard color blocking to black, and maybe pops of red like the 2019/20 version had. Pops of yellow could be possible, as currently, there's no yellow in the Yonex range as far as I know, and there is a legacy of yellow in the ezone line.

Was speaking to staff in my local tennis shop today and they said Yonex are moving to a 3 year cycle meaning no new Ezone until mid-late 2024…any ideas if that’s correct?

One of the things I've been wondering is if Yonex will consider adding a 95 to the EZone lineup. It seems odd to me that there hasn't been one yet. And now that they've added a 98 Tour to the VCore line, it would appear to be a prime opportunity to try a 95 in the EZone Line.

The VC95 feels a bit Ezony to me!

I would disagree on that. It's is less of a spin monster than the 98 or 100 but it's not as much like the EZone.

The closest comparison would the EZ98T and I feel like there is still enough difference there and my preference would be towards the VC95. But a proper EZ95 could be something very interesting to see.

Somehow, although it seems insane, I feel like a 99 would be more likely. Something to compete with the Strike 100 or Shift. Slightly more control than a 100 but with more forgiveness than the 98.

The vc95 has a lot of control, LOW launch angle, whippy head light balance, sweet spot is pretty high in the hoop. All of that reminds me an EZ98.

Love yy!

It's interesting that you mention sweet spot. It's definitely more towards the top in the VCore line but I've always found it more centralized in the EZone.

It's annoying when Yonex make limited edition PJ racquets they don't offer grip sizes bigger than size 2 and 3. Yonex grip sizes tend to run smaller than industry standards.

Heard back from a Yonex rep today after their national sales meeting.

2024 EZone is a cosmetic update only. No other changes.
Did you get any insight into how it looks?

I’m likely getting one to serve as my second racquet if it is the same as current Ezone, but honestly I’m getting a bit bored of the current Ezone looks

Still mostly blue. But apparently the new scheme is bold.

Wait the first message if the thread said new layup and servofilter addition ?

I do not believe in a cosmetic change only

Don't know what to tell ya.

I asked specifically about Servo Filter and was told there would be no tech or layup changes.

Current EZone sales are really good apparently. As is the feedback they are getting from players.

From a business standpoint, it makes sense

I’ve had info from company reps be completely inaccurate in the past, so your info is good as mine! Thanks for sharing!!

I am pretty sure they will be some changes in the Ezone 2024. Yonex tends to change things, sometimes too much even. Current Vcore had some weird updates to the mold.

I think for the Ezone 100, it would be surprising to get rid of the VDM. For the Ezone 98 perhaps the Servo Filter would make more sense as higher level players appreciate feel more ?

Classic misdirection...someone leaked something they shouldn't have...so now, damage control. Nothing new under the sun.

We'll know when we know.

Maybe, maybe not.

The rep I talked to waited until after their national sales meeting. That could explain the difference in information.

Or it could be different info put out by Yonex to keep people guessing and provide cover for what they are actually doing.

Like you said, we'll know when they actually release it.

I don't think they'll go with servo while keeping everything the same. Would bring out the harness of the ezone even more. Would be good to have more weight in the tip and keep the balance

What's the usual release date for the Ezone updates?
Usually the Ezone has been updated at the time of Australian Open. So far every second year.

A two year cycle is quite short. From the manufacturers point of view , I can see the advantage of doing it in three years cycles.

I believe they’ll make a few changes. No clue what it will be though. If they figure out how to make the 100 slightly more arm friendly, while still maintaining the great playability of the current model, I think that would be huge.

I really, really like the current Ezone 100. If it was possible to improve comfort, it would certainly be even better.

I wonder though if these type of very stiff power frames can actually be made “comfortable” despite all kinds of anti vibration tech …..?
