A 500 and a 250 this week...more picks from the peanut gallery

Eh, 2-2 last week. Got the two obvious ones and missed out on sleepers, which blew up badly. Who knew a former number 1 would get taken out by Pavic, haha. Congrats to the guy that went 4-0. Way to go! Anyway, here we go.

1. Bet-At-Home Championships, Hamburg - #1 seed is Almagro and #2 is Simon. Nico doesn't have the cake draw he had in the Swedish Open, and in fact, he has to possibly face Nieminen(who is tricky on a good day), Davydenko(who isn't the same, but has a quarter and semi this year, so he can still catch you), Kohly, Monaco(two ATP titles this year), and Hot Sauce. Simon's draw has a batch of clay courters, so I don't see him getting too far. I'm going to pick Marin Cilic for a 500 title, and a second straight trophy. He's playing pretty unreal right now, and has a favorable draw. Will also see Monaco take out a couple more guys before Kohly beats him bloody.

2. BB&T Atlanta Open, Atlanta - Isner's the 1 seed, Fish is 2. One thing we know is that an American's winning this one because the foreign contingent's a joke. Consists of Matosevic, Muller, Ebden(who is fine, but not winning a tourney this year), Nishikori(Best of them all), Kunitsyn, Malisse, Soeda, Anderson, Lorenzi, Mahut, Capdeville, and Bogomolov Jr. Not a winner in that whole group. Gotta look at the Americans then. There's Isner, who isn't on grass anymore and it's going to be muggy as hell a few of those days, so I don't see him winning it. Forget James Blake, because he has to win a match first. Rampras isn't in Newport anymore, and gets Izzy second round if he gets by. Steve Johnson's potential is spoken about all the time, but still needs to win a main draw match, and DY is in the same boat. Jack Sock COULD upset Bogomolov, but he just needs to concentrate on winning a few more matches first. Roddick will make the final, but will not win it. Harrison's pretty hot right now, and can go far again, but will run into one obstacle, and I don't like Fish's health problem in this muggy weather, and his lack of playing time. He won't repeat. So I'll bring it...Roddick vs Brian Baker in the final, and Baker winning it.

3. Credit Agricole Suisse Open, Gstaad - Tipsy 1 seed, Granola Bar 2. I pick Tipsy to win for a second week in a row. His draw is cake other than Wawrinka, and I think he beats him anyway. Granola Bar, on the other hand, has a trickier draw with Youzhny, Kubot, Dimitrov, Benneteau, Bellucci, and Lopez, so we won't see Granola Bar back in the finals. I say Tipsy vs Youzhny in the final, with Tipsy taking home the trophy.

Your guys' turn.

Ok, I could continue the qualie jokes, but it's obvious even the USA isn't immune to a bunch of unknown qualies, and unranked players.

So instead of the usual jokes, could anyone enlighten me how these unknowns, who don't even look like they are playing futures, get into the qualie rounds of these tourneys? Pretty ugly qualie draw here.

Fish seems to thrive when playing in the heat, I'll pick him for Atlanta.

Would like to see Stan take Gstaad, but he has not played well at all in his home tourney the past few years. I'll pick Youzhny there.

As for Hamburg....I'm not sure, maybe Kohlschreiber or Monaco. I would personally like Tommy to take it. Tough draw for Gilles.

TBH, I think Roddick's chances of making the final aren't great.

Maybe 20%....

however IF Roddick made the final. I'd pick him over anyone in the tourney.

Yeah...I got the finalists, but that's not satisfying, haha. No WAY I could've possibly seen Brian Baker lose to Kunitsyn. That'd be the tourney I was for sure would've been a win. Still not bad on Roddick making the finals.

Good wins for all three. Tipsy winning one and making a final in the other makes for a good two weeks. Nice to see Haas get to a final, although I would've liked to see him get a clay final.

Next up is L.A. and Kitzbuhel. L.A. will suck compared to last year, but the other one looks interesting to say the least.

Man... to pick Youzhny in a Clay Court event is never that clever! I think that myself in a good mood can beat the angry russian on clay =P

Gstaad plays pretty quick for clay and he's not terrible on the stuff either having won a couple of titles and reached the quarters at RG.
