A Chronology Of The "Weak Era"!

Tennis Devolution

Professional
Everyone likes to talk about the "weak era" but I am going to now delineate the current thirty-year chronology of the true "weak era" in three distinct phases where the appearance of true all-time greats drastically dropped resulting in the complete devolution of tennis.

1995 to 2005 (The Deceleration Phase): This is the first phase of the devolution of tennis where the rate of evolution in tennis starts taking a nosedive where the emergence of true all-time greats after pete sampras and andre agassi drastically drops which helps both pete sampras and andre agassi to win more grand slams than usual and extend their careers longer than usual.

2005 to 2015 (The Stagnation Phase): This is the second phase of the devolution of tennis where the big 3 all emerge as true all-time greats however the evolution of tennis now has now completely plateaued and the complete drought of true all-time great players begins which helps the big 3 win unprecedented amounts of grand slams. Either way, this is the phase that is the "golden era" of tennis featuring the highest absolute level of tennis ever played in the entire history of tennis which reaches its peak with novak djokovic's non-calendar year grand slam.

2015 to 2025 (The Devolution Phase): This is the third and current phase of the devolution of tennis where the evolution of tennis actually becomes devolutionary, meaning that the absolute level of tennis actually begins to drop with a never-ending complete drought of true-all time great players. In this devolutionary phase, the big 3 are able to win further unprecedented amounts of grand slams and extend their careers in unprecendented ways by completely dominating "next-gen" tennis players who although are more than ten years older than all of the big 3 are completely incapable of successfully overcoming all of their true all-time great predecessors in the form of the big 3 which has never ever been witnessed before in the entire history of tennis ever.

Right now, if novak djokovic who is the last remaining true all-time great in the entire history of tennis retires before an actual true all-time great can completely overcome him with no other complete failures against other preceding true all-time greats, then tennis will be completely forever stuck for eternity in the completely eternal complete hell of completely eternal complete devolution.

No weak era. You just can't expect a new ATG to come along every generation (or none of them would stand out, or we would be calling that a weak era too).

Just a normal era that looks weak because of the era it's standing right next to.
