A couple of questions about my racquet's specs + other stuff

Hello, I need some help here about my racquet.
I'm using a customized TI Radical MP of which I'd like to know its specs, specially the swingweight.

Head Size: 98 sq. in. / 632 sq. cm.
Length: 27.00 inches / 68.58 cm
Strung Weight: 10.75 oz / 305 g
Balance: 3pts HL
Swing Weight: 312
Beam Width: 21.0mm
Tip/Shaft: 21.0mm / 21.0mm
String Pattern: 18 Mains/20 Crosses

Those are the specs according to TW, but here is how is my setup:

2ilqgsm.jpg

-40 cm of lead at 12 and 14 cm at 3 and at 9 (Sorry for giving this on centimeters but I can't remember the weight)
-Babolat O dampener
-1.25 mm strings
-Babolat leather grip
-Pro's pro overgrip

So, how much would the SW be?

Important!:
I'm asking this beacuse I want to switch to the Six One 95 18x20 (K Factor, if possible) and I'd like to know, approximately, if I'd be able to move it propperly.

Some additional information:

I'm between 4.0 - 4.5
I'm used to play with racquets at about 350 grams.

If you need more data to help me, just ask for it!

Thanks.

The increase in inertia is mr^2 and 1/4 lead usually weighs about 1 g per 10 cm but if it is high density lead it could be 2 times that. Assuming you have 4 g at 12 o’clock (57 cm above the SW axis) that would be .004*57*57 13 Kgcm^2. You could calculate the SW increase for the lead at 3&9 and the dampener the same way and add the racket and all weight added to get a reasonable guess. That is assuming you guesses are close.

.

Aprox. 327 SW and 7-8 HL balance.
Balance is also a spec which affecs "if you'll be able to move it propperly"...

Imho, this TW tool is better for this case..
It's not a matter of sw only, but a matter of balance too.

Finally, as a previous owner I suggest you to move away from Ti (and any other Rad) asap...

We can't help you much unless you know the specs of your racquet before modification.

I have doubts over the specs due to quality control.

Once I tried to measure the swingweight like TWU indicates but I wasn't shure it was correct.
I'll try to do the math.

Oh, I thought it'd be higher. It makes sense that it moves so easy.

Just for curiosity, why do you say that about the TI Radical? I know that is nothing special, I mean, it doesn't give you anything more than what you put in your shot, it's a pretty neutral racquet for me but, yes, I´m looking for a change and the K Six One is calling me....

I know, but I´m fine with an approximation.
Plus I thought the quality control was better those days and I have no idea what the specs of my racquet are.

Ti rad has low SW stock, even with your mods i agree it would be struggling to hit 330SW.

K6.1 95 is stiff and very powerful i found, not at all like your Rad! Good for very flat hitters, but geez trying to get some spin out of it to tame the power was very hard.

Yes, is a total different beast, but I briefly hit twice with it (16x18 I guess) and I loved the feel and specially the plow.

There is no math really. TWU has a swing weight calculator where you plug in the numbers and it does the math.

You add mass at 3, 6, 9, & 12 and the racket becomes 4-5 points more head light? I know the leather grip and OG adds weight but I doubt that much.

Irv, the mass on the hoop is aprox. 5-6 g and on the handle is aprox. +10 g (leather vs synthetic) and 5 g the overgrip...
Meaning 5 g versus 15 g at least...
But I did not calculate it with the tool. It's by experience as I use to do such customizations very often.

Just for curiosity, why do you say that about the TI Radical?

Tour, (I have said this in another thread in the past).
Rads are the most dangerous racquets ever imho.
These sticks maybe are designed to play only custom.
I had Ti and IG and both of them vibrate very wild.
With IG I almost broke my wrist when I try to stop a ball which just falling vertically, powered only by gravity.
The vibes of this contact made a big damage on my wrist. It takes me almost 2 months to cure this injury.
Could you beleive that? Just with a crush of a free falling tennis ball!!

I didn’t do any calculations either but just looking at the lead it looks to me like HD lead. If it is normal lead my guess is your estimate is correct, but if it is HD I’d say the balance would not have changed much from stock.

Wow, is it that bad? I guess, I feel some vibrations sometimes but never to the extent that it can lead to injuries.
Anyway, thanks for your thoughts!
