A couple string tests

cool, thanks. I tried Conquest at 58 and it was as stiff as a board, and since Conquest is the predecessor to Nvy, thought it might be just as stiff.

Yeah, try with whatever tension you normally use. It's not very expensive, do if that doesn't feel right, it isn't too hard to fix.

Cracked up when I saw this.

Review for head liquidmetal radical:

Comments: his is a great budget racquet for players with great technique and strength. It's also very maneuverable. I played my high school senior year of tennis with this racquet so that I could improve my technique and net game. You really need to add your own strength in order to get the heavy shots like you see from other popular racquets (Pure Drives, BLX, certain Cortex's, Biomimetics). I have RPM Blast strings which add a lot of power I need, but the balls I hit are still "floaty and light" compared to the heavy shots my best friend hits with his Pure Drive. So in general, the feel is good, the control is excellent, the maneuverability is excellent, but the power is very low compared to the other popular racquets out there. If you have a good amount of strength, then this racquet will be like a deadly nimble dagger.

Sorry for not putting up a review yet. I've had some wrist issues, so I have to wait for that to subside.

To help cope, I'm switching to the exo3 rebel (old model) while it's at 79 bucks a pop. It feels really nice and my wrist likes it.

I feel ya with the wrist issues. I've been dealing with that +shoulder and forearm stuff. I'm switching to full gut I think for the next few weeks at least.

Some really nice reviews here. Concise and to the point. Definitely gave me some ideas of where I want to go.

You also confirmed my suspicion with the full bed b5e-- It's not harsh but simply not as flexy as some of the other polys out there. It simply doesn't give as much

I don't know what's worse: his complete ignorance about all things tennis, or his terrible writing.

U&C, I hope you realize that you really are a minority. My fiancee teaches high school social studies, and you would not believe the number of *facepalm* inducing grammar and spelling mistakes. People are releaved and dissapointid or spend their lifes or the best I've seen yet (saw it this evening): rifridgerador. So trust me, if 11th and 12th graders still write like ^^^, that guy's garbage review is like Tolstoy in comparison

PV and U&C, I believe Prince Premiere Attack deserves a review from both of you even if just as a cross. Very impressive multi especially for the price.

I could probably get enough time in a full bed. I break strings less often with the rebel when I was hitting with my friend's.

I know what you mean, some rackets tend to be trouble makers for the arm and wrist.

In my case I bought a VCore 98 which Im waiting for. This, because recently Im feeling the Aeroprodrive too stiff with the all poly setup. A Yonex RDIS 100 MP which I also have feels much softer on the arm, huge sweetspot compared with the Aeropro.

Congrats! I got a chance to hit the rebel teams-- while flyswatter light, they felt really good. I wish I could have hit their bigger brother

Yeah, I tried the teams, then realized they didn't help my wrist. I liked the new rebel, but then I saw the old ones for 79 bucks a pop in my grip size, I decided on those.

I'm amped to hit with them today if it doesn't rain. Full Power Poly at 40, just for reference.

I hope it goes well. I played with the teams at 54/57 Adrenaline/ogsm and while they felt awesome and swung awesome. Unfortunately, they just didn't have the stability/ plow that I needed when hitting with anyone of caliber. I was tempted to lead them up but I realized that would just start another horrific cycle.

I'm curious, have you noticed when you have that big of a tension difference that the frame warps any?

Hey could you try a full bed of Luxilon m2 pro? or a hybrid if you want I just wonder if it's worth getting. Also you may have tried tourna poly big hitter black 7, but if you havent could you please? and If you had could you let me know what you thought? Thanks!

BHB7 is a great string. A little springy for my tastes, but a phenomenal string for the price.

I remember trying m2, but I honestly can't remember anything special about it. Horrid tension maintenance.

Got to hit for about an hour tonight. Lights went out so I had to stop. All I can say is that it's a great multi for everything except really delicate shots. It's pretty mediocre on drop shots. It could just have been me, but so far so good.

I think that was what Mike found too. So, how does it stack up to gut (the usual question)? I guess that will depend on durability, too, which you haven't been able to really evaluate yet.

It has gut like control on aggressive shots, but nowhere near the feel.

Okay, gotcha. What about comfort? And as it wears, what about durability and tension maintenance? Maybe just leave it be for a while to give it a chance to lose tension before you destroy it! :-D

I actually plan on doing that. While I'm waiting on it, I'll be re reviewing ruff code.

I'd say it's about average stiffness for a multi.

Touch shots are average and that is the only negative for me. It did seem about average stiffness so it had some comfort for the arm weary.

For me, weisscannon scorpion in a hybrid or pacific poly force original for a full bed. That stuff sounds like a cannon.

Cannon or crackling? I can name plenty of "thud" or "cannon" sounding strings but can't think of something that makes a crackling sound.

I'm talking about that resounding CRACK when you hit it. I guess it's not cannon like, but you know what I mean.

Stiffer polys generally make that sound, but if you ever go watch a pro tournament in person, most of the players can make their rackets make that noise consistently. It comes from solid contact with lots of racket head speed.

I'm pretty sure nadal strings at 55 and nalbandian strings in the sixties. Believe me, don't do that.

I still only have about an hour and a half on PPA. It's got some hairs sticking out, but nothing serious. My previous comments still stand.

It's more small fraying than anything. I could try to get a picture to show you what I mean. It's not like xcel or anything.

Thought one of my Central Florida peeps would throw in a bald joke by now. Micronite has the "hairy" thing like Xcel. PPA did have those micro frays. Definitely interested to hear how long it holds up for you.

Alright. I'm back from the Indian Wells virus, so I'm going to start play testing again. I'll put up a review of PPA once I can get on a computer, and SP Micronite should get here in a day or two.
