A cute little Evert factoid, probably never duplicated in Pro tennis.

I draw your attention to this tournament draw from 1972 from the Evert site.
Virginia Slims Masters (Apr. 11-16; St. Petersburg, FL, clay, seeded 4): 1R def. Pam Austin 6-0, 6-0; 2R def. Corinne Molesworth 6-2, 6-4; QF def. Karen Krantzcke 6-1, 6-7, 6-1; SF def. Billie Jean King [1] 6-2, 6-3; F lost to Nancy Richey Gunter 6-3, 6-4

Then this one from 1982.
Toyota Championships (Dec. 13-19; East Rutherford, NJ, indoor): QF def. Pam Shriver 6-2, 6-3; SF def. Tracy Austin 6-0, 6-0; F lost to Martina Navratilova 4-6, 6-1, 6-2

Then this one Wiki " Pamela Austin (born March 12, 1950) is an American former professional tennis player.... Austin's younger sister Tracy was a two-time US Open champion. In addition to her brother Jeff, Austin's brothers Doug and John were also professional tennis players.[3][4] She is the sister-in-law of fitness instructor and author Denise Austin, who is married to Jeff

Evert beat the elder sister in double bagel fashion then a decade later in their only meeting (1-0), beat the younger sister in double bagel fashion (8-9)

So actually the cumulative head to head is Evert ( daughter of Jimmy and Colette) 9-Austin( daughter of Jeanne and George) 9! Wow, Its a tie. Well that leaves Austin off the list . Its just Graf and and Martina. I wonder if their siblings got double bageled by 17 year old Evert.

Very nice - Hard to really grasp the total talent and career of Christine Marie...
( Lucky me, she played the Westchester Tournament early in her career. After her match, Martina and she were just strolling back to the large clubhouse, and I just walked a respectful distance behind them in utter admiration...)

Now this is getting positively eerie.

I discovered this
Tracy Austin vs Jeanne Evert - Austin 1:0 (1978 Phoenix R32, Austin d. Evert 6-1, 6-3)

Which means Tracy Austin has a 10-8 lead in her head-to-head with women from the Evert family. Even if I include Pam Austin's loss, George and Jeanne Austin's daughters still come out on top 10-9 against Jimmy and Colette Evert's daughters.

It also means that Chris Evert played and beat two Austin sisters, and that Austin played and beat two Evert sisters. How often has that happened on the pro tour?

Maybe there is something similar with the Jaeger sisters v Evert/Austin
Or
Williams/Pliskova sisters?

Okay so basically Chris Evert bageled both Austin sisters including Tracy the younger in their only meeting.

It must have sucked to Chris or Tracy's sister playing tennis. Atleast I heard of JeAnne Evert. I never even knew Tracy had a sister who played professional tennis until now. I watched a ton of her matches on tape, even though I was not alive for them, and I never see the commentators mention her sister once.

There may not have been much to mention regarding Pamela....
