8 slams...and his slam distribution would be a little better.... 4 away from Australia....and 2 each at Wimby/Uso. It would round things out very nicely.
To get back to the domination of 2011, I would still like to see him beat Nadal in a slam final (or semi) anywhere (ideally at RG), but if he ends up holding the trophy, you would have to consider him the major top dog heading into 2015.
There was quite a lull after winning the AO 2012...Djoko always has remained near the top and seemed more like a weaker version of 2.0 then fully reverting back to pre 2011 days, but he still fell off quite a bit from the talks that he could be a GOAT candidate or at least tier 1.
Now all of a sudden 8 slams is a possibility and top dog status would be his again which would really juice up the next potential Djokodal meeting. The by far and away world number 1 against the guy who has pointed the rivalry squarely in his favor the last 4 slam meetings.
Also if Djoko beats Fed in the final, that would also bolster his legacy to beat Fed twice at slams (back to back actually) It's not entirely fair since Fed is almost 6 years older, but it is what it is and it would be a major scalp for the Serb. I don't think his would quite undo some of Novak's chokes in the last couple years (needs a slam win over Nad to do that as previously said/a RG title) but it would bring him 90 percent of the way there.
Semi's are coming and anything could happen, but you have to bank on a Fedovic final...and I feel good about Novak but not comfortable by any stretch. I do like Djoko in B05 vs. Fed, especially off grass at this stage of their careers...(on a slow court like AO or RG, I would def favor Djoko)... if you are fair to Fed and counted them as basically equal in USO '10, '11, you would have to recognize that 3 years later and Novak still seems to be in peak fitness and Fed is great...but he's 33. Roger's best shot imo is to come in blistering form like RG '11 and win in 4. I predict both guys cruise thru their semi's and Novak wins the final in a close, but comprehensive fashion in 4 sets. He will add a huge gold star to his legacy in doing so and set us up for some exciting legacy defining matches next year with Nadal.
