A fantastic new idea for racket technology

Frames already have sensors and such for detecting spin and pace of shots, which I assume no one really uses. Instead of that, consider this:

A small LCD display on the butt (of the racket, not the player) showing the last time the frame was used and the total time it was used so far.

It would be fantastic for racket rotation and restringing management.

I’d like to be able to use my buttcap to unlock my car door and have it be compatible with Alexa so I can order useless crap on Amazon.

Patent pending....

I will make a powerful racquet with boron, Kevlar, fibreglass, tawron, and graphite.

One racquet to rule them all! *Lords of the Rings theme*

Thats a great idea! I cant imagine any downside to having a fragile lcd screen on my racquet that i drop on court and throw in my bag all the time.

You have stolen my idea! But i think pros should use it for secret messages from the coach, connected with wifi

Restringing is one of the tennis myths, racquets dont have to be re-strung until they break

I set up my frames with strings that I can play for at least 20+ hours until they break. I haven't had to replace a string before it breaks in quite some time. With all the great strings out there I just don't see any point in playing with a string you can't use until it breaks. I just don't see any need for any racquet management. If you feel a big need for such a thing, I think you might be making some less than stellar equipment decisions.

Gorilla glass cover over your LCD screen will solve all these issues. Think big.

Meh, court side sensors can tell me my shot statistics and a cell phone app can keep track of how long it has been since my last restringing. Combine the sensors and LCD into a unique package I can use: a measure of the number of times the racquet has been thrown or smacked on the ground. :)
