Dear sir/madam,
As you read this, I have some requests to make with both hands folded as per my tradition.
I'll make individual requests for all 3 of the fanbases. I'll start with my fellow fed fans.
DEAR FED FANS,
Yes, Federer and Novak have played some gut-wrentching matches throughout the span of their careers, and due to some extreme clutch by Novak, combined with ill-time errors by Roger, we all have suffered heartbreaks at the hands of the Serb. We always argue with some trolls who claim to be djoko fans and continuosly say bad things about fed, and that's fine, I'm okay with fanbase wars until they get to overly abusive and personal scale. BUT IS THIS REALLY THE TIME TO OPENLY REJOICE AND CHEER, JUST BECAUSE NOLE WAS DEFAULTED FROM THE MATCH AND POTENTIALLY COULDN'T ADD ONE MORE SLAM? DOES THIS DISQUALIFICATION GIVE YOU MORE HAPPINESS THAN FED'S VICTORY OVER HIM? Please, we all need to be better than what we are, when it comes to handling this situation. Yes, what Nole did was totally bad behaviour, even if unintentional, and did deserve a disqualification. But that doesn't mean we keep on simply bashing him and and his entire fanbase, trolling here and there. Please try to find more happiness when fed comes back to tour in 2021 and wins matches, and hopefully a slam.
DEAR NADAL FANS,
Yes, the Djokovic-Nadal rivalry has been the most competitive and intense tennis rivalry over the course of the last 13 years, and both have given each other some soul-crushing losses. I know that nole has been defeating rafa on the hardcourts without much competitive play between them since 2014. And some of the evil people who claim to be nole fans, keep on trolling nadal and his fans for no reason, and all of you always stand up for the greatest fighter in tennis, clay god rafael nadal. It's okay to have a fanbase war if it doesn't get to personal scales and abuses. BUT IS THIS REALLY THE TIME TO EXPRESS JOY AND REJOICE JUST BECAUSE NOLE GOT DISQUALIFICATION? DOES NOLE'S CAMPAIGN BEING DEFAULTED GIVES YOU MORE HAPPINESS THAN NADAL'S UPCOMING CLAY CAMPAIGN? You all need to be better than this, and not go hard, attacking to the nole fanbase and the man himself. You all should be having sweet imaginations on how nadal will win the trophy at RG the next month, not on "wow - nole got default so he is still 2 slams behind nadal". Please, I request all of you to be gentlemen and gentleladies to nole and his fans.

Yes, I know that the last few hours have been very tough for you guys and your player, more so than at any time in last 10 years. Everyone who was annoyed by Novak has a reason to bash and speak bad things about him now, and that's what is hurting you guys the most. I can understand your pain and sad feelings. BUT DOES IT REALLY MEAN YOU SHOULD COUNTER HATE WITH HATE? BY CLAIMING THAT "FEDAL WON'T GET DEFAULT" OR "NOLE DIDN'T DESERVE DEFAULT" OR "IT'S NOT IN BOOK" ETC?? DOES IT REALLY MAKE ANY REAL SENSE IN YOUR MINDS AS WELL OR ARE YOU JUST SAYING THIS OUT OF ANGER? DIDN'T DJOKOVIC'S 26 MATCH WINNING STREAK GIVE YOU MUCH MORE HAPPINESS THAN THE SAD FEELINGS OF THIS INCIDENT? Let's accept it, what Nole did was 100% wrong even if unintentional, and did deserve a default (imposing ranking points fine is unnecessary though) so let's respect the decision. Yes, the guy did lose a potential slam, but he has been on the winning side of the matches he should have never won either, due to sheer gut and dedication. All of you should really be happy for that and remember the good memories, wish nole to recover from this faster and come back stronger in the clay season, and AO next year. Please, I request all of you to be better than this, and not to counter hate with more hate. We can all be better than this.
