Not a Nads fanboy but I love my Nadal featherlights. Great for summer and long lasting...not sure which ones these are...(yeah they need a washing lol).

Both were already on the list. Thank you though.

As a side note, I much more prefer Featherlight type to Rafa Bull Logo 2.0 which was the worst of the kinds released thus far. Way too flimsy for me.

I am partial to Rafa Featherlight Hat [715146] sold between Summer '15 and Holiday/Winter '16. Rafa keeps wearing them despite NikeCourt AeroBill Rafa Heritage86 [850666] sold to the public (since Spring '17). I can only guess the latter targets the wider customer demographic (as Rafa fans inevitably age)

Blatant price gouging on part of several **** sellers. Unfortunately, this has had an adverse effect on average prices in general as people willing to sell their hats/caps on the second-hand market follow in their footsteps :(
 
I just have these 8. I like them the most because I can put them in the washer/dryer and they will NEVER lose the shape of the bill. Some of the flimsy ones are trash after one wash - with the bill getting deformed and not being able to retain the shape no matter what.

Sad too that some are getting to $100 and over on the bay. I saw a black/volt one and really wanted it and didn't bid because I thought the price was going to end high. It actually didn't (maybe like $40ish) and I'm kicking myself now!!! oh well...

Yes, they are my second best after Featherlights. You are right about thw shape of the bill but it also makes them a little on the heavy side (esp. as compared with Featherligths)

Rafa Bull Logo 2.0 [613966] type is the worst! I have a few (to match a given outfit) but they are heavily underrepresented in my collection (4 out of the 13 I am aware of).

And I am a Rafa gear completist but you just couldn't rationalize their purchase at their time of release. Now, when they fetch $100+, it is just an insane proposition (considering their questionable quality).

Ah, US Open 2010. The logos are not exactly Volt (although close). The official color is: Hot lime.

I'll keep you in mind. Over the years, I have seen quite a few of them at reasonable prices. The lowest was $2. The lister misspelled the word Featherlight, and it slipped through my careful search word net ;)

Your submission kicked my butt and I spent another 30 min. searching for the code. I hit 270413-003 on some Russian website although I have no way of corroborating it at the moment. I have reached out to @kimguroo as I believe he recently sold it at the auction site. Cross my fingers he will help solve this mini-puzzle.

Yes. I have a fellow Rafan who also likes this colorway very much. It was only available in the US.
There are few offers at the auction site but $200+ prices are too much. Sadly, it is a trend these days.

Interestingly, this hat marks the point in time when the hats Rafa actually wears started to differ from those available in retail. Initially, the differences were only in color (Rafa's hat had Photo blue accents as compared with the retail version), followed by type (i.e. Featherlight for Rafa, Heritage 86 for the public).

SP = Spring
SU = Summer
FA = Fall
HO = Holiday (Winter)

It indicates the season that collection was released. The smaller, innermost tag of the Nike product has that indicator followed by a two-digit number that indicates the year. i.e. SP22 is Spring 2022. In the early 2000s, it was just one letter and one number, i.e. U4 for Summer 2004. The tag also contains the style number, color code, as well as the original UPC.

You are absolutely right. This model was released during Winter/Holiday 2015.

Yes, it is definitely legitimate I just hope you didn't spend a fortune getting it. I saw one for ~$150.

As for the pictures, I suggest you use Google Images or gettyimages to search for IPTL 2015 and Doha 2016. Rafa might still have used the main colorway: Black/Black/White/(Copa) [715146-013], but the one you got was better color-coordinated with the alternative Winter/Holiday Volt/White/Copa/(Black) top [646097-702] he wore during these events. Alternatively, you could also wear it with Australian Open 2015 outfit.

Thanks for the good info. I believe I bought that one you saw for $150, but I got it for even less with an offer. The pricing on these is tough to get a good read on, especially if you're someone like me who hasn't been paying attention, ha.

I will definitely plan to collect a few more, so I'll be keeping track of **** sales etc to make sure I'm not overpaying too much.

Unfortunately, the average price has gone through the roof for Rafa hats in recent years (esp. for non-Heritage86 hats). It is really difficult to find a nice cap for a good price.

Not looking for anything specific, will probably just wait for another one to catch my interest. That one will be my first featherlight.
 
Yes, that's insane! I have a good friend at IW as I write this, and she kindly recorded me a video of what is on offer at the local on-site shop. The crew is there (I saw it in the video). Probably at the SRP of $100.

What is that blue and yellow hat emma raducanu waa wearing rafa's? Where is this being sold?

Also what hats are shapovalov and sinner wearing? They don't look like the advantage hats on sale

Technically, the colors are Binary blue/(Laser orange). This particular hat was prepared for Rafa for US Open 2021. Sadly, you won't get it through standard retail channels.

Ever since Fall 2016, Rafa's hats have not been the same as the ones sold to the general public. Back in 2016, it was still the same Featherlight 3rd gen Rafa hat but different colors (e.g. we got Black/(Black) [715146-014] while Rafa wore Black/(Photo blue) [802130-015]). Starting with 2017, the public gets the 4th gen Heritage86 hat while Rafa sticks with the 3rd generation Featherlight one. What's worse, Rafa's are usually better color-coordinated with his outfit.

You can always buy a Team Featherlight hat (Style 746653) and have someone Cricut you the Bull logo to make one yourself.

You, me and a large number of other Rafa fans I saw on Twitter.

Yellow strike/(Black) is the latest colorway beyond the reach of the typical mortal Rafan.

I truly don't get Nike strategy here.

Back in 2018, I managed to get this particular hat through the largest auction site. As far as I can tell, the only 2 differences between the one in the picture [802130-107] and the one available through retail back in 2015/2016 [715146-100] are: (1) the white trim and (2) the all-white underbill.

When I was big into collecting Featherlight hats, occasional stores/sites would have product pictures of the white with white trim. I would buy them right away and with much disappointment, receive a white with black trim hat in the mail. Of course, I had to return them.

I have a decent amount of white with white trim hats now that are in my go-to rotation, especially in the sunny heat.
 
A new Rafa exclusive Featherlight hat for HO22. Based on Rafa's HO22 color palette, it is Volt/(Off noir).

This time, at least, we got the Heritage86 counterpart [850666-703]. I wonder how different the Off noir logos are going to be as compared with Volt/(Black) [850666-702] released a little over 2 years ago.

I would just be happy to get my hands on a Volt (Team) Featherlight Hat.

If it came down to it, I'd just get a friend with a Cricut to make a bull logo.

I thought about it when you first mentioned it a few posts back. What about the embroidered bull logo at the back? Or would your friend find the perfect Off noir match for the front bull logo? @kimguroo made the first-rate job of customizing Rafa's Wimbledon '21 stock shorts to resemble those he wore during his historic run in Melbourne for one of my friends. Still, the consummate professional he is, he wasn't able to find the perfect match for Rafa's Washed teal. In the end, it only gives me more headaches.

Lastly, it shouldn't be that difficult to own a hat like Rafa's, should it? I know full well there's strong demand for these hats. All Nike needs to do is simply listen.

Not exactly "when he first got on tour". But he keeps wearing what I call the 3rd generation Rafa hat (style: 715146) sold between the Summer of '15 through 2016.

There are lots of embroidery shops in the area thanks to the military presence here. I'm sure doing a custom logo wouldn't be an issue.

Thank you for your prompt response. You never disappoint.

A colleague of mine who recently bought it on the second-hand market also thinks it is a youth cap as "it’s very small."

Independently, a seller at Poshmark described it as "Women's Rafa Nike baseball hat" (thus corroborating the smaller-than-usual size).

I started to suspect this is a youth cap because of the embroidered ¡VAMOS RAFA! on the adjustable velcro back strap. I am not aware of an adult Rafa hat with this feature but there are quite a few youth hats like that, relatively speaking (incl. the NYC 2013 Bull youth cap your sons have).
