From the 28th September onwards no one under age of 30 has won a major. We all know this one. This means that currently tennis is dead imo. Nothing will change my mind on that until someone new wins a major.

The next question is, will there be no major winners under the age of 31, on 28th September 2019? Or will a young knight have revived tennis by then?

I'm talking male players here.

What happened with WTA is gonna inspire a lot of players to step up, I bet we will see another 1-2 new winners. On men's side hopefully at least one new winner in either Thiem or Zverev. Lucky if we get 2-3 new winners but highly unlikely.

I dunno, a bunch of people thought 2018 was going to be the year, but it ended up a colossal failure. Things are a back to being harder with Djokovic back.

That's true, I think Federer was one said that 2018 will be interesting but turned out to be false. No but 2019 I do think could be more interesting since now Kei, Stan, Delpo, Raonic, are all back and could possibly cause an upset but you are right... with Novak back...hard to say.

Thiem is the closest I believe,he's very good on clay and all it will take is a slight dip in form by Nadal. Don't know about Djokovic on clay, will be interesting to see that next year...

Bah. The Djoker looks like he will win another 2 if not more. He's hungry again. Nadal will be the fav for the FO if his knees are right. Fed might sneak in one, though I sort of doubt it. Then there's Murray and the Stanimal also serving as potential roadblocks to the younger players. Even del Potro turns 30 later this month.

It will not surprise me at all if the 20-something players are shut out again next year.

I hope the Big 3 are all healthy, Delpo keeps up his current form, Murray and Wawa somehow become competitive again, and that another Next Gener wins a Masters till the end of this season. I'm really looking forward to the AO, it can be massive.
