I wonder if this is true. GOATing Venus beat Serena in Montreal and Serena looked extrenely irritated walking to the net... then Serena and Venus lose during the doubles match at the US Open from Serena serving 2 straight double-faults, now this....


Venus Williams is fed up with her younger sister and doubles partner Serena Williams’ partying, a report said Wednesday. The tennis stars have reportedly ignored each other at recent public appearances.

“They’re not in a good place right now,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six. “Venus is angry with Serena.”

Venus and Serena Williams arrived separately to the “Taste of Tennis” kickoff event ahead of the U.S. Open in August, the report said. Once there, the pair reportedly didn’t speak. “There was no acknowledgement that either one was even there,” a source told the newspaper.

Serena Williams was active in the New York City party scene ahead of the Tuesday launch of her new HSN clothing line at New York Fashion Week. Over the past several days, the 32-year-old was spotted partying with actor Joe Jonas, model Gigi Hadid and fellow tennis star Caroline Wozniacki.

there is no need to enquire at the national level about someone's relationship with their sister. just imagine waking up 30 years from now and saying oh man why did i waste so much time caring about the personal lives of "famous" people. and now i'm almost dead oh man what a waste of a life

I think that applies to most of the posts in this forum (or any sports forum), other than tips, gear and travel. But really, spending hours watching adults one doesn't even know play a game for money?! Arguing about who was or is the best? Get a life! That's what I tell myself. If you watched the Venus and Serena documentary, you can see that Venus was the more mature one and Serena the spoiled crazy sister.

In reality Richard Williams focused more on Venus upbringing because she was more mature and media savvy but she lacked Serena's killer instinct. Richard was surprised that Serena won the GS before Venus.

With the bond they have I think it would take something much bigger than 'Serena going to too many parties' to create a serious problem. Sounds like a publicity stunt. Do either have fashion lines coming out soon? Just like when you find out about some past 'crisis' a movie actress had - a few weeks before her new movie is going to be released.

I'm pretty sure venus was in Quebec city for her next tournament when serena was playing the final. So i don't know where all this "rift" is coming from.

Sisters, even incredibly close ones like Venus and Serena, fight and argue all the time and then make up, so if there was a rift (which there might even not be) it wouldn't be a big deal.

I agree that growing up and even during their careers, their family and sister dynamic has seen Serena get her own way more often than not. Venus has even commented on that.

Serena has called Venus a b*tch during a grand slam final (at the 2003 Australian Open) and regularly given her death glares during their matches. Venus has often felt apologetic when she has beaten Serena (the 2001 US Open final was a prime example).

I can't imagine two siblings close in age never having disagreement. Given their megastar celebrity status, it is given any innocuous situation that surfaces would be exponentially blown out of proportion. What is more surprising is that the media hasn't tried to create strife between the two years prior.

These two girls are a treasure to the sport. Clearly, they are not girls they are now women. I hope the media doesn't dump on them as they begin their journey towards retirement. They deserve better than that.

Yeah... This is wrong. There are (rapidly) increasing health risks to both the mother and the baby as the mother ages. Science and medicine have not made too much progress in this front.

Can a woman have a healthy baby past 40? Absolutely. Should women have babies earlier to prevent higher risks? Yes.
