A Twist of Fate

This year Nadal beat Federer at Wimbledon to stop the Swiss from winning 6 titles in a row and therefore smashing the 38 year record held by Bjorn Borg.

Imagine if.... Federer wins Australian Open 2009 and ties Sampras' record of 14 Grand Slams and he then goes on to stop Nadal from breaking Borg's record at the French of 4 straight Roland Garros crowns by completing his own career Grand Slam and in turn sets a new record of 15 overall Slams.

I dont think it will happen but it would be a very strange twist of fate how they each prevent each other from breaking Borg's records. Ofcourse Federer may not win the Australian and therefore may tie Sampras' record at the French.... anyways....

If that happened Nadal_Freak would simultaneously have a heart attack and crap his pants.

Then while the paramedics were carting him off in a pile of his own feces he would murmur incoherent rants of Nadal being injured or tired and a weak draw for Federer.

that gave me a good laugh....

It would be ironic thats for sure...but I think Fed's best chances at the french have passed...unless Nadal is injured or course and given Nadals knees thats a distinct possibility. Guess We'll have to wait and see, but I don't see it happening

That'd be a strange irony. But I give Federer little chance of stopping Nadal in the final, if they both get there.

If Nadal gets to the final, within sniffing distance of a record breaking 5th straight French Open title, I don't see anyone taking a set off him. Beating him will take a monumental effort and the highest quality of play.

that would be just twisted.

or what if Jesse Levine wins AO as the start to his 5 year sweep of the slams, losing the 2014 FO to D Yooung!?

that's a twist.

I don't think Federer will reach the final. I also doubt Nadal will win it as easily as this year's FO. Murray will get stronger on clay, as will Djokovic. Simon, Tsonga, and Del Potro will all want a piece of the pie. It'll no longer be just about Nadal and Federer.

of yes definitely

lol, you gave me a good laugh with this one.

that would be a strange twist of fate i suppose, but it just solidifies the rivalry. basically, they made each other better players.

jajajajjaj

jajajajjaja, yeap, i will be worry about Nadal_freak his madness will be getting worst, hey nadal_freak we dont want to loose you !!!!

That is how a Hollywood Movie would end! :) But seriously, this could still happen. Remember how Roger was badly written off in the US Open and still won it rather handily? Fingers crossed for Good Ole Rog! :)

Right now the only people crapping here are *******s with their ruined ambitions. Dream babies dream ... about Nadal losing Roland Garros. The problem with your mentality is that you can not cheer for people winning, you cheer for them losing, being injured, etc. Why don't you skip the details and wish them dead? If Nadal dies tomorrow, Federer will have his chance. Come on, say it, don't be too shy.

yall dont think nadal could just have a bad day...nerves,w/e ....and federer could have one of his A-games and pull it out? i dont think its likely either but its still possible
