A year of incredible symmetry?

Consider this:

* 1st slam of 2014: Wawrinka beats Nadal

* 2nd slam of 2014: Nadal (last finalist) beats Djokovic

* 3rd slam of 2014: Djokovic (last finalist) beats Federer

Now, are we going to get...

* 4th slam of 2014: Federer (last finalist) beats Wawrinka?

That would close the loop nicely, and it's a distinct possibility, considering the draw. Of course, Federer beats whomever wins AO '15 would also fit the pattern, but it wouldn't be as 'neat', somehow.

Not as far-reaching (or far-fetched, lol) as 'the law of 13's' (answer next year for that one), but potentially funny anyway. We'll see... ;)

Rogi is due to win TRS in '15 as well! Look at this sequence of titles there...'05 then '07 then '09 then '10 then '12 and now '14. Back to the odd years in '15!

yeah, kind of makes one realise how inbred the current ATP gene pool now is, doesn't it? Don't be surprised when even more funny things start popping out.
