About Tourna Lead Power Strips

Has anyone tried the "Lead Power Strips" from Tourna? I can't find many reviews online.

I found these strips on a local online shop and decided to try them after verifying on the Tourna website that they're a legitimate product. Each package contains 6 strips, with each strip weighing 3.62 grams.

I bought them mainly because they seem easier to install than traditional lead tape, and coincidentally, the weight of each strip is almost exactly what I was looking for to add to my racket. My plan was to add 4 grams to each side, so it's just a little shy of that.

The strips do work, at least based on my basic understanding of modifications. Placing the strips at 3 and 9 o'clock helps stabilize the racket, while placing them at 2 and 10 o'clock increases the swing weight of my Percept 97.

I was just wondering if anyone else has tried these strips and whether you've noticed any differences compared to regular lead tape?

lead tapes comes in different sizes, shapes and weight.
there are thinner/lighter ones like the Gamma/Tourna ones.
there are thicker/heavier ones, and can also be used for golf clubs - the big auction site or the rain forest site somestimes have a reel of (non-brand) lead tape.
the one you linked looks good, and it should work as other branded/non-branded lead tape, as long as it sticks to the racquet hoop.

Yes, I have them on my Pure Aero and Percept. The tape has been on the Babolat for more than 8 months, and I play quite aggressively with the racket, yet the tape still stays on perfectly. I always make sure to remind my stringer to be careful when changing strings, though.

I really want to hear from someone who has also used it, or get a general idea of why there’s so little information shared about the tape.

it's just a bigger chunk of lead tape. you'd get the same effect applying the equivalent mass of regular lead tape as the power strips.

I ended up cutting mine into smaller pieces when I wanted to adjust the weight more finely.

That's good to know. It just so happen that the weight of each strip is exactly the weight I was looking to to install. Their design just makes it easier for me to stick them on. - thanks, mate!
