??? about wearing multiple socks, preventing blisters

I wear thorlo socks and love them. Before switching to the thorlos, I used to get huge blisters, about the size of a half dollar coin or a bit larger, on the balls of my feet. The thorlos got rid of those...for a while, but recently it has started happening again. I'm wondering what the cause of that is, why did they come back?

I'm thinking of wearing two pairs of socks when I play. I went out and bought some nice moisture wicking socks, they are specifically for cyclists. They are really thin.

Should I wear two pairs of socks to avoid blisters? Should I put the thin socks on first under the thorlos? Help, thanks.

Maybe buying a pack of Spenco 2nd Skin? Or Compeed. Don't know if you have compeed in your country. Assuming that you live in the States, 2nd skin is available from hiking stores or Walgreens, maybe even at places like Wal-Mart.

It's essentially a soft flexible (silicone-like) piece of rubber that you can cut into a desired size, place on the desired spot, then cut out a larger piece of the knitted plaster and stick it on top to keep the thing in place.

I personally use Compeed. As it's self-adhesive from just warming it up in your hands and place on skin. Will stay on for days if you don't take it off. It's best to put it on before you get a blister though, on the a blister prone spot.

Edit:

You might also want to try any of the numerous anti-rubbing/chafing/blister wraps and lotions out there. Saw some on Hola's website once.
