Absurd day of tennis has negative repercussions for the women's final which will now be delayed

Actually, I posted this thread in response to a news article I read which had the exact same title as this thread and was a hot topic.

Absurd day of men’s tennis has repercussions for the women at Wimbledon

Nice try, only one here trolling is you. Pathetic.

So? What has that got to do with anything. You still posted this thread, and stirred the pot.

All of your arguments are based on assuming to know what is best for the WTA. Maybe instead of assuming to know what is best all the time, you could just look at the issue from a common sense perspective and address it that way.

Post #120 in this thread I listed the common sense key topics in this debate and yourself and the other feminazi trolls didn't even acknowledge them.

It's just really funny when both players in the middle of this completely agree that it was the best option to take.

There is a big difference between a feminist who advocates postively, and one who actually contributes to the negative stereotype.

There ARE things that seperate the ATP and WTA.

MANY of them are unfair to the WTA, no one can deny that.

But this entire debate is not one of them, and never should have been. It just hurts the reputation of the WTA more by finding stupid reasons to bicker about it.

I posted a thread based on a popular article and topic which many people were commenting on. Judging by the amount of posts here, I feel I made the right decision to post the thread. This forum can’t always be the usual ‘would Federer beat Laver if both were at their prime’ threads. If you don’t like it, leave the thread. Thanks.

It's great to know you judge whether something was the right decision by how popular a response you get, with absolutely no regard to the quality or validity of your arguement. Classic drama seeking behavior ;)

It's pretty clear that the posters who made this thread, and the other similar threads, are just trolls trying to illicit a reaction from other users. They grasp at any inkling or detail that might be able to be skewed as being "UNFAIR TO WTA" and kick up a huge storm about it. At the end of the day though common sense prevails and it's great to see that the players themselves are not so narrow minded.

Well they try to illicit a reaction, call everyone who disagrees “sexist misogynists” and then suggest that this forum has a “problem when it comes to women”.

Thank goodness most people seem to have common sense on here though.

And that's what annoys me as well. There are real cases of misogyny that exist and in my opinion, silly stuff like this (especially by this OP) takes away from those. Every thread or post seems to be a desperate attempt to unearth a Machiavellian conspiracy against the WTA. Everyone on here is a "sexist". And all it does is make people like the OP look like a joke.

It's unfortunate because the more tripe that gets posted, the more she/he consolidates the wum moniker and is thought of as a laughing stock by most on the forum.

Lmao. I can count on two hands the same 10 or so people on here who continue to find each thread I post and try to attack me or say I’m a laughing stock and you’re one of them. It’s always the same few as well. Again, whatever let’s you sleep at night. I’m secure enough as a person to keep doing what I’m doing without worrying what posters like you think.

If you are secure enough why are you still replying and trying to justify this crap thread and your comments in it?

Btw, are you talking about me? I can't remember "attacking" you in the past.

Usually I am somewhat in agreeance with you, particularly regarding topics such as Bernie Tomic (but you seem to switch between complaining about his behavior >< sticking up for and justifying his behavior, depending on the flavour of the day).

I don't tend to get into arguements on forums unless the topic is as stupid and nonsensical as one like this.

Why don't you actually address the common sense points I made before?

Point 1: The women get longer to recover now before having to play.

Point 2: Nadal/Djokovic get longer to recover for their mens final.

Point 3: The crowd gets an extra match for their ticket cost.

Point 4: In tennis tournaments, or any major sporting event, the most important match/ main draw event (Womens final) always comes last, it never comes first.

Wimbledon should be commended for starting the open era. Not They did it for one simple reason make more money. They had a pro tourny after their amateur tourney in 67 and made more money. They are all about bottom line. Who cares if they ruin seasons or carriers of the players. They make the world cow down to their arrogance and yes greed. White only, no breakers in 5 th set. Start at 11, no tennis on Sunday except if they need it, but the Finals on the next Sunday is ok make bread from TV, we can make our own seeds cause we smarter then everybody else. Sorry fans the runners of this tradition packed event are no more then the ruthless people that control the good old US of A now. Uncaring snobs who pretend to be better then u and I because they are amoral and take joy in stealing
