Adding weight to Tecnifibre TFight 305 2025 handle

Hello,

I’m looking to add some weight to the handle of my Tecnifibre TFight 305 2025 to make it more head-light and increase the static weight. I’d appreciate advice on the best approach to achieve this.

I really like the feel of a leather replacement grip, but I’m hoping for something with more cushion and comfort. My current options seem to be:

  1. A leather replacement grip paired with a thicker overgrip.
  2. A heavier non-leather replacement grip, like the Wilson Shock Shield Hybrid, combined with a regular-thickness overgrip.
Does anyone have specific suggestions or alternative solutions that might work better? I’d love to hear your recommendations.

Thank you in advance!

Lead tape under the replacement grip? I did it on mine, added 8g of tourna lead tape in a spiral pattern, once I measured that the original TF grip was super heavy compared to Yonex, almost as heavy as my 1.3mm leather grip. I don't see or feel the edges of the lead tape through the leather grip. If you worry about lead contact through the grip holes or anything, add an adhesive layer or wrap everything in food-grade film (never done it)

Wondering if there is some room inside the buttcap: removing it completely and placing Blu Tack or tungsten putty from the inside. I don't have a staple gun to fix the buttcap back after that, so won't try it on my side. And I do like the even distribution of the lead tape spiral.

One more suggestion: the TF plate on the buttcap has a large flat and glossy surface, would work really well with adhesive or even those "micro-suction cup" adhesive sheets. It could be a way to tinker with small weights, by sticking some metal plate, coins, or a custom 3D printed part.

The easiest way is to carefully remove the logo. Then drill an 8mm hole in the butt cap, vacuum it out immediately and inject silicone into the cavity until the desired weight is reached. Alternatively, if you want more than 10 grams, I would inject silicone first and then press a screw (4 - 8gr) into the soft silicone. After curing, simply replace the logo and everything will look the same as before.

Thank you guys. I like the lead tape on handle or leather grip because weight is more evenly distributed on handle. I do not how real this lead to skin contact problem really is. If I have synthetic grip and then unperforated overgrip, it probably can not be problematic.

Regardless of how you add weight heavier grip, lead tape, or silicone in the hand use the formula T = mr where T is torgue, m is mass, and r is the balance. First determine how much weight and what balance you want to achieve.

Assuming your starting point is 320 g and 32.5 cm balance and you want to add 8 g and wrap lead tape spiraling up the handle centered on a point 7 cm from the butt. Here are your expected results. Your starting point is 320*32.5=10,400 gcm of torque. You will add another 8*7=56 gcm of torque your weight will then be 328 g and the balance will be (10400+56)/328=31.9 cm.

how do you remove the logo?

Insert a thin, sharp cutter into the gap between the logo and the plastic part of the butt cap and lift carefully.
The logo is only fixed with double-sided adhesive tape.
Btw - in the picture I showed above, the butt cap is from Prince.
