This 13th edition of the Barricade has better step-in comfort than ever before, while still retaining the trusty support, stability, and durability that is ingrained in its DNA.

Glad it works for you, having played both my feet would disagree. I think shoes have to be the hardest thing to compare because they can feel so different for different feet.

what didn't work for you ?
The collar rubbed my ankle raw (even with a high sock). After that first blister on my ankle, they broke in well enough and provided good performance and comfort for about 6-8 weeks until I burned through the outsole under the toes and a hole started to form in the upper mesh.

It sucked for me. Major heel slippage.

2023 is GOAT.

Also had heel slippage and the shoe overall felt clunky. I think I liked the 8s, the 2015s with boost, and the 2017s the most
Did you all size down half? These shoes require it compared to what you wore before because they run big. I came to these from a Vapor 9.5/ Vapor X previously.

I've never had heel slippage in these nor the other generation with the big adidas word on the inside and wearing half a size smaller. Even their website suggests it.

I was part of the playtest and it was recommended that we went a half size up due to them being shorter. Nonetheless I kept my TTS. I don't think I could have gone smaller, the length of the shoe was fine but my heel would slip still

That’s the total opposite. They run big since the ones with the big adidas word on the side.

Barricade 13s are neat! I'd sprain my ankle if I used any other tennis shoe. Having said that.. they don't last very long. The toe area develops a hole within 2months. That's with at least 3hrs/day 6days/week of use on a two pair rotation.

Going back for warranty.
