I agree. For me, it’s simply a case of not wanting to scream ‘look at me’. My club is a sea of basic maximalist white tennis shoes. I like being up-to-date, but as a fairly average player I don’t need my shoe to say ‘all the gear no idea’. That large logo is just not subtle enough for a club player like me. Looks like I’m sticking with the U4s for now (unless Adidas see the light and bring back the U2’s again)Well,

Seriously, huge screaming branding is bad enough but—as I alluded to upstream—we don't need ADIDAS spelled out for us. No one does.

i don't see the huge adidas logo be any different to the brand name(s) on the side of the racquet throat, racquet bag and/or tennis balls....
to be fair, i much prefer this colour way, then the other one..It's not that bad, logo is hardly noticeble
maybe the next colour way they can make the adidas logo lighter and "fading" into the background more - so to make the courtplayingman and the courtsideladies happy

it is waaay less visible in *that photo*, but (so far) the NA/US market shoe has a plain white upper; there's no "crazy chequerboard" motif to obscure the lettering for us Yankees.

not sure where you get that, I am a Midwestern yankee and I have the checkerboard shoe.
only thing I don’t like is a bit of heel pain in my left foot. Hopefully that I just part of the break in process.

Yes i saw Dominick Thiem wearing the Blue colors on instagram. That one is still mostly white with Blue mixed in. i think adidas logo is blue with white so it is still big and noticeble.
but this version, i was told the Adidas logo is supposed to be GOLD color for the Olympics occasion. but this logo doesn't look like Gold color ??

Seems like Adidas must have changed it at the last minute.
There are still some photos of the "Gold" version on the product page, but don't think that's what the final retail version has.

I got same size as U4. I find the toebox is slightly wider and more comfortable..better fit or me to wear with insoles. The forefoot cushioning feels better. Haven't played in them yet but they feel comparable to the Vapor Cage just as bit lighter.

Great . thank you. size 10.2 shoes only weight 14.2 oz according to TW. That is alot lighter than vapor cage

I think they are going to come out with next version of the solecourt Boost. They had said they didn't want to discontinue the Boost line because it was selling really well in public market

I didn’t want to switch from the soulcourts. I just went through my first pair, having come from Nike vapors and being forced to drop them because of the Vapor X being too narrow.
Then when I tried to look online to order a new pair of SCBs, they were gone and replaced by all this barricade talk.
So glad that adidas is keeping the SoulCourts
Time to stock up on left over soul courts. Narrow shoes cause metatarsal pain for me in long play sessions.
Also, the knock on bounce is that it starts off great but wears out much faster than boost foam. Keep that in mind when trying these on for the first time. That cushion won't last unless you have an Adidas contract.

Looks off for me as well. Nike has the same color combination(same shade of Blue and Green)right now but they executed it better.

A couple weeks in now and I absolutely love this shoe. Has been great on both clay and hard court. Traction is awesome, zero wear on the outsole despite some pretty intense sessions, this has molded to my medium width foot better than the SCB's ever did, and I really couldn't be happier.
Ankle collar has broken in, although I still wouldn't wear the Barricades without a thicker sock that's at least quarter height.

Have the Adidas Barricades changed the shape or are there two/three versions of them? I see the Adidas Barricades seemingly/slightly different from Adidas Barricades 18 in the arch/little toe pocket. I am looking for the arch/little toe pocket as large as possible. I once wore the Djokovic (old style) ones and I was really happy with it for the room (arch) for my little toe inside the shoe. This new style, sadly to me, does not appear to have that well curved front.
As I feared...new Barricades are about the ugliest looking shoe in the market. Waited and waited...for this!!! Have no clue what's going on with the Adidas brand. They ruled tennis, and now with this type of stuff, they've continued to invite the Asics of the world to take their market share. This is crazy. What a disaster. So disappointing.

Yeh sounds like they've lost ya. Stuff happens. The shoe perhaps doesn't honour the Barricades of old in that they aren't tanks; there again the shoe went through many iterations and they'd have to reinvent they've obviously decided (whatever the reason but I imagine it's sales).
When I look at it my eyes just zone in on that big sole. All I see it that generous solid slick sole, esp the heel. (Whether it performs or not, time will tell.) just look at that protection... here's hoping.

That's what I see when I am looking at the bottom of the new Barricade shoe. So, I am worried that if I buy those new Barricades, I will have to deal with a different shape and reduced arch towards the tip of my toes. I was always consoled by the space for my little toe in that arch, which prevented me from getting blisters, in the old Barricades. Asics/Nike give me blisters on my little toes and even my big toe sometimes.
Have the new Barricades sold out because they are good or different?

Are they any durable? Previous SoleCourt and Ubersonic 4 lasted me for 25 days! I got Asics ff court 2 and they have lasted me for 2 months and they still have 1-2 more weeks in them. I want to get the barricades but if they last for for like a month I dont think its worth it, so I was thinking fo getting Novak's . What do you guys think?

OK, this scheme is stout—metal == masculine == I would easily wear this if I wanted a white shoe. Change the laces to match your cross strings (=> pro tip) and it'd be fantastic.

How does the barricade compare to their game courts?
I have just bought Barricades 21, got them, tried them on and I am about to return the shoes where I have purchased them from. The problem is, like I thought, that the arch is NOT the same as on those former ones and that the material those new ones (21) are made of is NOT as comfortable. I am very disappointed that the Adidas has changed its Barricades style and material but am fine getting the old Barricades 18 that have better/adidas traditional arch (toe box), are from a comfy material and with a soft heel. Sometimes, a change isn't a progress for me.
