Adidas Barricade 6 vs Team Competition vs Barricade Team

I've tried the Barricade 6 shoe and liked it but they wore out prematurely after only 3 months (or approximately 150 court hours.)

Has anyone tried the other two new Adidas shoes that seem to be loosely based on the Barricade?

Well, if you worn out B6 that fast, then I can tell you BT is out of the option.

I actually recently started to use BT. It isn't that bad (much improved forefoot stability), but the toe drag is horrible, that goes the same with the outsole...

I've been interested in the Team Comp but no one seems to have tried them. :( And none of the stores near me even carry it so I can try it on for fit.

Are you saying that the B-Team is an improvment over the Tirand?

My issue is with the B5/B4, I'd go 5+ months prior to wearing through the outsole... and that was when I was playing more hours per week.

I calculated court hours between the two. With the B5's I'd get about 250 court hours... B6 about 150 court hours.

I may try the BT to see if I can get 150 court hours from them... then just buy two pair (which would be approximately the same price as the B6's with the outsole guarantee).

The B Team is crap like the old Tirand. The Team Competition is the Barricade V sole with a slightly different but close to the same upper and fit as the B5. If you got good wear from the B5 go with the Team Competition & you should be happy.

150 hours for one pair of BT, I don't see that happening, but armed with 2 pairs, that's possible...

The team competition looks like a great shoe but neither of the shoes have warrantee. It looks like you are better off getting the B6's with warrantee and send them in for a second pair after 3 months.

Some places still have the v... I just bought another pair so I won't have to transition to the 6 for close to a year since I have a fresh pair that I've been using for 2 weeks plus these new ones that have yet to arrive... if you are lucky you might be able to find some locally at a good price... I saw the black and teal for 79 at a local store.. but I'm not a fan of those colors

The warranty is a PITA, however. Last time, it took 5-6 weeks to get my new pair.

Im using the Barricade Team, and used the previous model of Triand before that, in fact still use the Triands for practice they certainly fit my wide feet better than the Barricade Team. But I really dont understand why people pay the extra money for the Barricades, are they actually built that much better than the Team vers. someone care to explain?

The Barricade is built far better than the B-Team or Tirand. Much more supportive stabile upper and durable sole. Not to mention the Barricade comes with a six month warrantee.

Interesting. I wonder if anyone else has ever kept track of actual hours.

By my totally unscientific statistics, the B-IV was the most durable Barricade. The B-III and B-V tied for second and the B-II being the least. Can't comment on the B-I or B-6.

BTW, my guess is that you won't come anywhere near 150 hours with the B-Team.

If it is true that the Team Comp has the B-V soles (photos look like it), it should last most people 6+ months. I'd just like to know more about the fit.

Asics Gel Resolution 2

Thinking about trying a pair of these (after using Barricades for the last 4 years):
