Awesome clay shoe. Awesome hard court shoe, except for one major drawback: durability. That is the drawback with most any lightweight shoe. I tried to find a lightweight shoe that has a durability guarantee, but no such luck.
The CC's are great, but you will want to go ahead and either buy a few pairs, or invest in a tube of Shoe Goo (or something similar) for the holes that will appear on the toe guards from dragging. With the CC's, I put a hole in them inside of 2 weeks. With my BIV's, the hole did not appear for a couple of months.
I am going back to the CC's as soon as I wear through these BIV's, but I will either melt a slab of rubber over the toe guard, or invest in Shoe Goo. Probably both, with as much as I drag my feet.
Oh, and I always invest in a pair of Dr. Scholl's inserts, as the inserts that come with the shoes are horrible. If you don't believe me, take out the stock insole and compare it to the Dr. Scholl's. Play for 30 min with the Dr. Scholl's, and then switch to the stock insoles. You'll never go back to stock.
