Adidas CC Feather III?

good or bad? im looking to get a new set of shoes for the next school tennis season. I play all on hardcourt and play an all-court game.

Doesn't exist yet, so I assume your talking about the Feather II. For a hard court, take the Barricade any time, but for clay or astro, take the feather.

wow you're dumb how do you explain the pair sitting in my bag...anyways if you play on hard court go with the barricade IV as they're made for the toughest conditions...feather's are made for clay courts but if you were playing on those then you can do no wrong

Feathers are great, but they're more of a clay court shoe, both in terms of durability and in terms of cushioning. Adidas makes three really good hard court shoes, though:

The Barricade IV that everyone has mentioned

The Barricade II - Still being made and the most popular Barricade ever. Slightly more form-fitting and slightly lighter than the Barricade IV's.

A3 Accelerator - Similar cosmetically to the Feather III (in that both have an outer upper with holes revealing mesh underneath). Lighter than the Barricades, and they run slightly narrower and higher in the arch. A great shoe with a great cushioning system that doesn't break down.

You won't go wrong with any of the three.

I own a pair of both the Feather III's and Barricade IV's. I prefer to play in the Feather's due to their comfort and lightness, but they are not anywhere as durable as the Barricade's (I play on hardcourts). The Barricade's also offer better support if that's of a concern (it's not for me). So if you are buying for longevity or stability - go for Barricades by a long shot. If you like light, almost not noticeable shoes, go for the Feathers. By the way, I had a few pairs of the Feather II's before and I liked those a lot too, so if you can find those on sale - go for it! I don't think there is much difference between the II's and the III's.

Feather III fit a lot more snugly than the IIs. If you find the IIs narrow then the IIIs would be unbearable unless you get a larger size.

Barricade IV sucks by the way. If you are just looking for durability, then B IV is the way to go. If you are looking for comfort...FORGET IT!! No cusioning and extremely stiff.
