I have these and like them a lot. Ankle rolls sound like a worry, but I won't be wearing them on grass and don't slide anywhere else.

My biggest gripe is the lack of a second set of holes for heel lock lacing. I've actually done a heel lock loop using the last two pairs of normal lace holes and that helps a lot, but I can't help but wonder if most of the gripes above would have been avoided with simply another set of lace holes (which most shoes have these days). Seems a strange omission.

Yeah, making a lace lock with these is key; I agree they'd fit better if they had an extra set of holes built in.
Even with a lacelock loop, I still have to re-tighten my SCB's mid-match to keep them feeling locked down.

But they're so plush and comfortable, overall they're a winner for me despite some shortcomings.

I have had the same issue and then had issues with the soul separating at the same spot. Was in the outer sole flapping off of the inner foam soul.
Been very happy with the Uber sonic3 but tempted to try ASICS djoker too.

So to answer the size, I wore an 11 in the barricade 2018, and I would say try to size a half down. The stability on them is great, as long as your fit is good. I personally would want this shoe to be a little tighter since it is wider than the barricade 2018. The durability on them is great, I’ve worn them for a few months and only under the big toe of each shoe is it showing wear.

I have the N3xt L3v3l shoes for b-ball, and they are comfy and surprisingly supportive. I'm not sure how it'll do on a tennis court though. That said, it's interesting to read that so many people with stability issues on the SCB. I just switched to the Parley version 2 weeks ago and it seems fine, except for the fact it loosened more than I expected. Coming from the AZC3, it feels stabler, but a bit high off the ground feeling and heavier too!

Personally I've had no issues with my solecourt boosts. Everybody's feet are different though, and usually not even your own two feet are the same.

Oh no, hope you recovered well from your surgery. The ortho surgeon actually told my husband to wear insoles and advised cushioned shoes and that's what he does (he had a torn meniscus last yr and had arthroscopy done). He is currently okay with his FF2 but he was a long time Barricade user as well and pretty sure will be looking for something else once he goes through his Asics. How long did it take for your husband to come back to tennis court?

You are right on your recovery timeline. My husband tore it playing flag football over the summer. He's still relatively young (early thirties). He was back on court at around 8 weeks or so. The recovery varies greatly. Some ppl recover in under a month and some require a good 10-12 weeks. The physical therapist my husband is seeing had exact same thing done and he says he felt it in his knee for a good 6 months before it felt 100%. My husband was miserable for a whole 4 weeks before he even thought about getting active back in sports.

Wish you best of luck in recovery. Just take your time and let it heal fully before rushing back to be on court. And if you aren't already, definitely do PT. That helps a lot.

Incidentally I had mine done Sep 9th. I was back on court by end of Oct so about a month and a half. Definitely varies a lot by age and other factors. I had what is called a bucket handle tear (considered a significant meniscus tear). Definitely would advise physical therapy atleast couple of times a week and giving it time. You won't feel 100% for a few months but it will slowly start to feel great and you won't have the movement niggles like before the procedure. @tennisgurl has some good advise. I did 3 weeks of PT and definitely help with the mobility. I am going crazy as my metabolism slowed down and I gained weight (well, almost 20 lbs since the injury slowed me down 1.5 years ago). Started going to gym and riding a bike there, just to try to sweat a little bit. No tennis yet.

I just ordered the Asics Solution Speed FF from the Black Friday clearance. Was really hoping to get the resolution, but I don't think I'll be able to squeeze into an 8.

My Adidas should still have a good chunk of life left, but I'd be lying if I said I was happy with the durability. The tread is wearing quite fast IMO, and I would expect better out of a $160 shoe.

I have ordered a pair of Nikecourt Zoom Zero on whim recently and once they are here will share feedback once I use them a bit regularly. It is supposed to be a very plush feeling shoe as well with low impact on knees. Was a bit weary of the shape and the angular design but almost everyone I have met said they get used to it and shoe makes for an extremely performance oriented comfy ride.

Follow up; my pair of ZZ is here. Looks very cool but my God is it hard to put your feet inside. Once in, it is comfy snug and I can tell it will open up a bit once I wear them a little. And great cushioning too, but the entry-exit part is so damn brutal for me. Medium to slightly wide feet here.

Yeah, I will have to return this particular pair as it came with a broken tag on the right shoe tongue and it seems a bit janky as if it was pulled on by someone, but will order again same size and hopefully get a pair without the issue. Material makes me think they will open a bit for sure too.

Well, you may have wider feet that are shorter than US10.5, so the length isn't the issue but the width of the shoe. Measuring your feet and width is best to get accurate sizing. The AZZ fit my 27.8cm foot in size 11D. A buddy of mine has the AZZ but his high arches couldn't fit the shoe comfortably without cutting the upper by ½". Feet are weird that way! Haha I used to love the Adidas Barricades, but when they changed the shape of the shoe to include more curvature, it no longer fit me. Only the Ubersonics and SCB fit my straighter foot better.

I have absolutely the same experience. Went down half a size. We also wear the same size shoes by the looks of it. Interestingly enough, I am most comfortable with 10.5 in SCB, but 11 in the Ü3s and 111/2 in Ü2s (but the latter is normal, as otherwise the Ü2s are too narrow in the toe box, so I have to go up a full size to be able to wear them well).

Very similar for me. I sometimes go up half a size for extra width, but 10.5 in the SCBs has been great. Before that I was wearing Barricade 2016s in size 11.

I got the same exact shoes yesterday. I haven’t try to put them on yet. Playing in a singles this weekend will be my first time testing them out. Sounds like it will be a struggle to get them on.

Best advice I can give you is to get a shoe horn. Have been wearing them for weeks now and still dread putting them on.

Did they have a Size 11? I bought an 11.5 for $55 back in October during a Friend's and Family sale from. L and kept waiting for restock that never happened. Guess they shopped to outlets. Chatted with their online CS and they told me I was outside of return window even to get a credit. I wear an 11.5 in U2 but the heel is slipping in the Parlay almost feel like I could go down a full size but my bunion has me wrong on the side of caution.

Just an FYI, I have the Barricade 18 Boost in a 10.5. The width was fine but the length was long.
