I always seemed to like Nike a bit more, I guess they have a more brand appeal not to mention Federer and Nadal use Nike(my 2 idols). That being said, I feel like Adidas is better, quality is just as good or maybe better in some areas, and they are not overpriced. They make better shoes and just as good apparel, and far better socks if that matters lol.
Shoes: Adidas has the best shoe - Barricade 7, and the Barricade team is lighter, cheaper, and better for people with wide feet. The feather is considered one of the best clay court shoes out their. The Vapors are good but seriously lack stability because of the lightweight design and durability is terible, what is the point of paying so much for the shoe when it will only last 3 months? Nike seems to only fit narrow feet and Adidas does a better job for peope with wide feet. Though neither are as god as Asics or NB for wide feet.
Apparel: Now this I am not 100 percent sure who makes better apparel, as far as I can see both companies make equally good aparel except Nike does two things differently, first is that they charge 15 bucks more simply because of their brand name and secondly in some of their clothes instead of 100 percent polyester like Adidas they go with 88% Polyester, 12% Spandex plain or 85 percent polyester. Does this do much?
Socks: Not a huge concern but if you look at just the basics socks, not the expensive stuff you buy in small quantities, Adidas socks are more comfortable, cheaper, and has a true-to-size fit. My nike socks were pretty comfotable at the start but then they got rough and uncomfortable, they also are a bit too big for my feet yet the package says they should fit, and of course they are slightly more expensive too just because they are Nike.
Nike seems to just get the top players, overprice their products and they know that Nadal and Federer fans will buy Nike because they use Nike.
Thoughts?
