Advice needed: Hyper G vs Soft

I've been meaning to try Hyper G, but could use advice on which version might be better for me, the regular or the soft.
Example strings I like: Kirschbaum ProLine II, Yonex Polytour Pro. All in 1.25mm gauge.
I string full poly at 51lbs, racquet is a 16x19 98.
4.5 / 5.0 level player, somewhat of a counterpuncher, rely more on taking the ball early and redirection than on pure power or spin.
But could always use more of both power / spin!!
So for those who have experience with both Hyper G and the Soft version and maybe the strings I mentioned that I like, which version would you think would be a better string for me to try?

Never played with both, will play with hyper-g soft as i ordered it, but can add my two cents as i checked a lot of info about most of the strings lately.

More power and spin surely hyper g, better touch and comfort hyper g soft.

check compare strings on tennis warehouse university.
I switched from Blast to PTP. Love the touch of ptp but its loosing tension faster. Hyper g soft looks amazing in this matter. Like a better version of ptp. Better tension so better durability while more comfort due to lower stiffness at the same time.

Hyper G will be more like those Stiff power/spin strings. Not as stiff as blast but like a poly tour spin string.

If you like ptp then hyper g soft looks like a premium version of it

*said the guy who never played with hyper g(but check my last posts, i did a lot of research about strings,5.5-6 level)

Try hybrid HG and HG Soft mains with ProLine II in cross side by side, then you will know the subtle difference...

I prefer HG Soft in mains (but I use mostly 1.15 and 1.2mm).

Hyper G soft is better for flat shots while regular has more spin. Think you'd like soft more based on your strings of choice.

I used to play with HyperG for about 6 months and liked it a lot. When they released HyperG Soft, I switched to it because it plays pretty similar while being more comfortable. I didn’t see a big change in playing performance and string both at the same tensions of 40-42 lbs.

For me, they don't have so much in common except the colour. The regular G plays better, spin friendlier, the overall feel is better. Not that I was so dissapointed with the Soft, I was just more satisfied with the other one...

HyperG Soft is a lot like HyperG only... softer ;)

Regular HyperG is a little crisper, a little better spin and maintains tension a little better. I prefer the Soft because it makes a difference to me in terms of comfort.

I just wish they had different colors!

Try both Hyper g and Hyper g soft. I recommend Hyper g regular in 1.20. It's not too far off from YPTP 1.25. But Hyper g regular is better than YPTP. Hyper g regular 1.20 is my string of choice right now.

I'm also trying to find what I prefer in my current frame (Gravity Pro) between YPTP 120 and a version of Hyper-G.

From Hyper G 17 that I quite like but find a bit underpowered and a little stiff at the end of sessions; for a bit of power and comfort, should I first go towards Hyper G 18 or Hyper G Soft 17? Maybe Tour Bite Soft 17? Note that I found Hyper G Soft 18 too muted, soft and mushy.

I'd say HG Soft 17 first. Unless you are ok with restringing a lot on the HG 18. TB Soft is known for being mushy, but I think it feels the most comfortable out of all of them because of that mushiness.
