Advice needed (strings noob): best substitute for nat gut

Well I got into racquet specs obsession quite recently, but never went deep into strings. So I need your kind advice!
I used to play with a full bed of Luxilon Alu Power Rough (1.25 gauge). Since my racquet is kind of underpowered, I tried (and I am using now with much satisfaction) a reverse hybrid setup with Babolat VS Team (1.25 gauge) nat gut mains and Alu Power crosses. That's really close to what I was aiming for (enhanced power, comfort and feel). As everyone can imagine, the problem is it's an expensive setup.
What string would you suggest to come as close as possible to the feel and performance of Babolat VS Team nat gut? Durability is not an issue (don't play so often). Price isn't either as long as we're in the Luxilon Alu Power range! Any technical parenthesis is also appreciated.

Nothing will even come close except for another type of gut- either a cheaper type or some super cheap stuff off the bay.

Take Babolat Tonic +. Reasonably priced quality natural gut. Gut holds its playability longer than other types of strings, so it pays off in the long run for a non string breaker like you.

Could try a set of Klip Tough Gut since it is quite a bit cheaper than VS. If you want to try Ashaway Zyex as a main string, make sure that it is pre stretched before installation otw it will lose too much tension. Finally, there is the Mikeler thread on Multis. Anything in the top 20 would probably be OK.

Depending on how much power you want added, the most budget solution for a non-breaker is black Indian Gut and PP Red Devil 1.19 or 1.24, totalling $10 for a set.

I have recently strung my Aeropro drive original )non cortex) with Babolat Synthetic 1.30 blue in mains and RPM Blasts 1.25 in crosses.Feels impressive.I also have tried Wilson K-Gut and its cheap and very effective.

Just go with Tonic or Klip Legend. I prefer Klip Legend since it is $26 a pack. Problem can be inventory though, you need to stock up when it is in stock because once back ordered it can be awhile.

Some folks enjoy...Babolat Origin... the only problem is the price is so close to Natty gut you might as well go that route!!!

Use fire wire in the mains, and then vs touch crosses, strung half way down from the top, about 11 strings, then switch to x1 bi phase crosses, so that each package of gut, gives you four string jobs, not just one.

Save the money on the cross strings, they don't add as much to the playability. I really like Signum Pro Poly Plasma Pure (SPPPP); the stringbed will keep its tension better than with the Lux. Tonic+ is very good gut. ToughGut is good.

Do you use a vibrasorb? Which racket are you using?

I agree with Leejayh, natural gut on a slippery cross like revolve has a nice feeling.

Check out natural gut whole sale, its under $10 a string job if you do it yourself and can get a price on the reel. Be gentle with the first tie with gut, i think i ruined a set tonight, not enough slack to double knot, went he-man with the needle nose apparently.

I would string 1-2 lbs lower for Klip's. and Klip's are touch thicker.

I've found a fairly good(and CHEAP) alternative is Forten Sweet16/17 Synthetic Gut. It's works pretty well....and it's cheap enough you can experiment with tension ranges

That is a great thought. Forten Sweet16/17 Synthetic Gut can play quite gut like at times. And yes is cheap
