Three months on, my triceps and shoulder pain is now minimal (thanks to the 4d 300, and acupuncture), and I'm getting back some arm strength. I played lots of singles during the holidays, and felt I needed a little more plowthrough and stability in the head. So I temporarily added a total of 6 grams at 3 & 6 on one of my 4d 300s. The total weight is now in the mid 11s, and the balance is about 2 points HL. I was a bit concerned I wouldn't last too long with the extra weight, and that I could re-injure my arm from the heavier head. I played a looooong singles pro-set yesterday (pulled out an 8-6 win). Thankfully, my arm survived, and I felt the extra weight gave me just the right heft I needed against heavy hitters. I'll give it a couple more playing days before I commit to this setup.
I really wanted a 4d 200 before because I liked the way it crushed balls. But I'm now thankful I got the 4d 300 because I figured I can constantly modify my 300 depending on the condition of my aging body, and the type of game I want to play.
P.S. The prices of Biomimetics have been going down in my country. I assume new models are coming real soon?
