aeropro drive cortex & aeropro drive plus cortex

hi,

I was looking for a new racquet
and I almost made my choice.

Now, I'd like to know what is the difference between aeropro drive cortex and aeropro drive plus cortex.
Is this 'plus' (0.5 inch) important?

ive heard that many people though (pros) are using plus versions including ginepri and roddick. Just more pop on the serve i guess is one of the main advantages.

i would get the standard, both have enough power and spin, so just go with the extra menuverability(sp.?) with the 27 in model

I chose the + version because the shopkeeper said it'd be good for 2hbh, which is shorter than 1hbh. In hindsight the plus version might be better even for FH because who the hell can hold the racket with half of his palm like Nadal does. We likely always hold with alot of the handle sticking out.

On the other side if you already feel .5 inch is too long for you, then get the regular because mindset is by far more important than facts.

you know, that is sort of a lame excuse for getting a + version. no offense to you or your shopkeeper, but you can always do your overgrip "andy roddick" style and you should be fine. i've always had that issue with the especially short grips on the kfactors.

as for the APDC, it's already powerful enough, the + is really only beneficial on the serve. that's bout it

ive hit with the standard length and even though my hands hangs a little over the edge, i had no prob with 2HBH

pfchang,

What part is lame? I'm only askin, not offended.

Bab isn't the only maker that make 27+ rackets. That means that length has a legit following.

I tempted to give some of the examples as to why some people chose that length, and how non-pro like 99.9999% of us hold the racket might be one of the reasons. Sound reasonable to me.

not saying length isn't legit man. but i've heard that excuse a lot. There's defly no advantage or disadvantage to a 2BHer, but for 1BHers, yes there is a disadvantage.

just saying that your top priority for choosing a racquet is not "grip length"

^ Agreed. The difference is 1/2 an inch. You probably wouldn't even notice that an APDC+ is 1/2 an inch longer unless you're actually measuring.
