I'm looking to maybe switch from my APD to a BLX Blade 98. The demo has Wilson Hollow Core at 58 lbs. and is very low powered, whereas my APD has Hurricane Pro at 55 lbs. Is is better with poly at say 45 lbs?

I played APDC w/pro hurricane tour at 57 lb for 3 years (nice stick spin, power etc.) but I start playing a lot of doubles so I decided to move to a more control oriented racquet,by now I m playing with a microgel prestige MP 18x20 and I had to change the tension to 50 lbs, but that s completely personal! why don t you start with something like 52 lbs? good luck!

Because my dad has his Youtek Radical Pro at 45lbs and it has nice power and monster spin so I was hoping the result would be the same on a Blade

17g poly at 48 should give you what you're looking for, assuming your arm can handle it. My favorite poly is Lux alu power.
