After Djokovic retires, how will TTW include Big 3?

Right now, forum members can still tether Big 3 players into General Discussion by connecting the topic to Djokovic. But after he retires, how will they prevent Big 3 from being discussed only in Former Pro Players section? Will every topic be some variation of Year X Sinner/Alcaraz vs Year X Big 3 Player? I am already getting sick of those threads.

Gonna be impossible unless we get new great players. So far sinner is the only great one. Alcaraz has potential to be great but he needs to stop losing to useless bums all year

Who is going to discuss Medvedev or Fritz matches all year?

Tennis is in a good spot now. Fritz has stepped up his game bigtime. Alcaraz is an unpredictable juggernaut. Sinner is a machine. I still have hope for Medvedev to turn things around. Zverev is playing the best tennis of his career. And I have faith in Draper(color me crazy; that’s fine).

I am really looking forward to the 2025 season. And yes, there are some villains in there. But that is another thing that makes it fun!

Stop trying to make Fritz happen. It's not going to happen!

Its time to look forward now, Djokovic is the last gunslinger, but he of is a bye gone era.

Tennis fans have plenty to look forward to, those obsessed with just one player can enjoy themselves in FPP and You Tube.

I think that Novak will play another 5 years, simply to tether discussions on GPPD.
...
That said, I get your point, and while The Big 3 will always cast a huge collective shadow, I think the sport will still be interesting.

And the women's game -- prime Swiatek and Sabalenka (and Rybakina, when healthy), near-prime Gauff, emerging Andreeva and others -- should merit some good threads. Right?

Sinner played Djoker and Rafa. Rafa and Djoker played Fed.

That is how we discuss Agassi and Sampras, cause Fed played them. boom

I never said that he was going to win slams. But he’s a very dangerous opponent now. His play has improved a lot; especially his movement and his rallying skills. Outside of Sinneraz, he is a contender for the next
tier, which includes Med and Zverev. He’s already shown that he can hang with Zverev. We’ve seen Med and Zverev challenge Alcaraz at slam events lately. It’s not a guaranteed win.

Vs zverev in semis set 1, fritz hit 9.9 rating on forehand out of 10. I didn't know if that was even possible lol

Then there is this. Serve return and forehand fritz was so high.

I love these stats. Keep them coming. Fritz is #2 in 3 out of those 4 categories. That's damn good. The Fritz/Zverev rivalry is a good one.
If fritz can sustain the level, he has chance to have Tsonga type career for sure.

Both have won masters 1000, Tsonga 2, fritz 1 but he can definitely win 2/3 more.
Both have 1 slam final.
Tsonga has many semis but fritz just 1/2 extra semis. He can get there.
Both played in atp finals final.

Bad news for some here .....

Can understand why Fedal will not be in tennis discussions so much as time goes by, but Novak holds all the big goat records = is the benchmark of talk tennis stuff.

So if you want to stop his name in discussions, the only way is to disappear from all tennis forums, for at least 10 years or until Sinner or Carlos or someone else break all the records.

Then their names will be benchmark talk in tennis, etc.

That is life and reality in all sports, also tennis.

Fed has 237 straight weeks at number one, 5 straight Wimbledon titles, and 5 straight USO titles. That is endless amounts of threads I can work him into. :sneaky:

If it would have been true then we would not have anything to discuss but it's not.

Iw fed and Nole share the record with fed far more deep runs.
Mc Madrid rome rg Nadal holds all records.
Wimbledon and halle fed holds records.
Canada Nadal holds records.
While Cincinnati fed holds records.
Even in atp finals although Nole has all records, fed had more dominant run in 2010.

If you are talking benchmark , for every tournament there is different player as benchmark.

Legends will always be brought up. That's just the way the ball bounces. That's fine. We have a former players section for that. And yes, as current players do incredible things, then former players will be brought up to be compared to.

No need. We can discuss just current players. How fast they are, what tactics they are using, how zverev is still failing lol.

Aside from Nadal retirement , a lot of tennis already revolved around the young players.
Zverev may make slam finals. Thing is if he does we know the result already so those Sundays are a free day to cut the lawns
