Alcaraz can win Wimbledon, in that case it becomes very tricky still not impossible. But if he doesn't win Wimbledon and sinner does , from there on, it's just like 2023 season. But sinner is not 35 he will be 24.
He lost because Medvedev was better on serve and enough in groundstrokes. The only real question is... how on Esrth did Sinner lose to Medvedev at W last year?
This year he should win W. No excuses. Otherwise, he's by no means better than Raz.
He’s done stuff the Big 3 couldn’t, at least not at the same age. But yeah, I wouldn’t bet on it either. He was shaky at both last year and so far his form this year isn’t any better. Plus he’s said in a lot of interviews recently that he’s been feeling the pressure, especially with Sinner out. Obviously Jannik will be back for the Channel Slam, but I don’t see those nerves just disappearing. I think he gets one of them, though.I don’t see him defending the channel slam. If the big 3 couldn’t do it, I don’t think he will
He has more to lose at FO than Sinner does, just so you know. He’s done stuff the Big 3 couldn’t, at least not at the same age. But yeah, I wouldn’t bet on it either. Yes, until things (may) change, Sinner is the best HC player in the world, and should also be competitive everywhere.Sinner already has it IMO. I doubt alcaraz takes the channel slam again this year and sinner has been resting for 3 months while everyone is playing. Sinner probably already has the US open and year end mopped up. So that leaves RG or Wimbledon for sinner. To me at this point only djokovic turning back the clock can stop sinner at Wimbledon. Alcaraz’s only shot is RG this year. I don’t think he can or will beat sinner on grsss

But how does he already have the USO and ATP Finals "mopped up"?
@TennisGrandpASinner already has it barring injury or another suspension IMO. I doubt alcaraz takes the channel slam again this year and sinner has been resting for 3 months while everyone is playing. Sinner probably already has the US open and year end mopped up. Sinner is making at least the finals of both W and RG, this year. I would be very surprised, and disappointed if he doesn’t win one of them this year - this would make up the deficit of him missing four masters events and a 500 class event. He can make some serious inroads on hardcourts and probably will be the one to break the USO curse, if all goes well. Sinner also didn’t play Paris Masters, which should be a court he will do well on. He will comfortably defend Shanghai, I think will be his second best masters event (behind Miami). In terms of 500s, he will defend Halle, and probably wins China Open.
So yes, I think he has a comfortable end to the YE #1.
Hes already fading away sir.Djokovic is on a last mission to tear Sinner apart before he fades slowly. Alcaraz was the latest victim to feel the wrath when he sets his eyes for something. Djokovic has prepared for Sinner during these months. I hope they are in the same section at RG.
if that was already the case, Alcaraz would have won physically vs a "fading away" Novak in AOHes already fading away sir.
