After the USO

When Rafa wins this thing without any serious challenge, without even playing against anyone in the top 25... in what may be the biggest clown draw of any major tournament in history...

Will his fans realize that it is ridiculous to discredit his or any other player's victory?

After all, he has no control over his opponents or the draw. A win is a win, and if his game is better than the rest of the field at a given time, then credit is due without any imagined asterisks.

It's a sport where you have to beat your opponents on your way and grab the title. You dont and you cant have control over who gets in your way. Therefore, it cant be your fault that somebody else lost way too early and couldnt make it as far as you did.

Nadal had seriously easy draw at the USO, he was lucky, but so were other players during their careers. It happened to Federer, it happened to Djokovic and others. They were lucky enough to get an easy draw, but after all they did their job very well, which is beating everyone they play against.

Nadal's fans should accept reality and admit luck served him well in this tournament, but Fed fans should also stop having " luck " as the only excuse that he is playing in the finals ( and probably winning ).
He was lucky, he used his luck very well, just like Federer and other players did in previous tournaments.

This is the same arguement Ronaldo haters use when Ronaldo scores a goal from penalty.
Well, is he supposed to miss the penalties just because they are penalties ?
