"The Outlier": Pulled rabbit out of the hat to beat Djokovic and Murray back to back in 2012.
"The Twilight Years": 2014- , grinding to lose in 5, only a matter of time until he's grinding to lose in 4 and then losing in straights.
I'm as big of a Federer fan as you're gonna meet, and I appreciate the fact he's given me joy to see him win 17. 18 would be amazing but I don't care if he doesn't get it, just happy to have been able to see him play in his prime.
Hopefully he has one more "Outlier" left in him like all great athletes have one more hail mary play.
