You're not allowed to play zone in league basketball?
The only reason would be if your the type of person who likes to play by the rules, and, if the roving referee calls you on it, and, you fall apart, and, lose the match due to it.
Or, if your Serena Williams, lost a tournament due to it, did serious damage to your reputation, and precipitated a fine of $92,000.
No, I mean playground ball.
Don't you see this called like every other possession? Same with 3-seconds, taking a charge within the restricted zone, and of course goal-tending (most of us are playing 3 feet above the rim).
But nobody complains because we all understand the rules.
Ah, understand. I think the key to getting people to complain is to have the rules *explicitly* state that you can't call those types of things. Seems to be the consensus with footfaulting.
