Does anyone have any experience with these shoes? They claim to be the lightest shoe on the market, and I might get a pair. I wonder if their durability is an issue. Thanks!

I just bought a pair of the ClimaCool II's about 3 minutes ago. They seem to be a pretty good shoe. I play around 6-8 hours a week exclusively on hardcourts so I'm thinking they'll hold up. I'm just worried about the ankle support with lateral movements.

I tried on a pair the other day but didn't buy them. They are noticibly lighter than my current shoe (Prince QT Scream II), and the arch and cushioning were right. Describing what I didn't like is hard, so please bear with me...it felt like they were too big around my ankle. They fit well everywhere, but it just seemed like my foot would slide forward. Similar to when your heel lifts out of the back of a dress shoe when it doesn't fit quit right, but instead of the heel, it seemed that way around the front of my foot.

I'd buy them if it wasn't for that. In my experience, a lighter shoe has a noticible (positive) effect.

play well,
Andrew

i have the shale color and they are good on clay/shale or artificial grass but on hardcourts they dont have much suport but they are very grippy !

I like em alot. They are surprisingly supportive and require no break-in time. The shoe is extremely lightweight and very breathable. I was playing in the Barricade IV before and the weight difference is incredible.

The shoe makes for a very quick first step to the ball. I have not noticed a durability issue with the. And they are priced very competitively.

They are pretty good, but more of a "match play" shoe rather than the practice/training shoe (I have the barricades for that).

The midfoot cushioning of this shoe (around the arch) is not that great and the shoe is not the most stable in the world.

The flip side, though, is that its very responsive, with good traction and is noticeably lightweight.

I am a bigger guy and my sense is that this is just not the right shoe for me, but it may well be a good one for someone else.

Do these shoes fit true to size? I usually wear Nike shoes, and currently am playing with the breathe free II's size 13 and they are about perfect size wise.

I love those shoes! I always play on hard courts, and I bought them in June and just got rid of them a couple of weeks ago. Both me and my tennis coach had those shoes and they are just awesome!
