Agassi and Federer play on top of the Dubai Hotel!

I saw it on TV.

Looked pretty dangerous - although I suppose there is some sort of fence to stop people from falling - it's a long way down to the ground.
 
You would think there would be a fence there but from the pics. it didn't look like there was. It just looked like they had that net thing around the court. But even if they did have a fence up there I personally still wouldn't play up that high. It just looks to dangerous, scary, and high for me.

Imagine being up at the net and you get lobbed. Do you run back (towards that 700 foot drop) to try and get it, or do you just say "nice lob" and walk back for the next point?
 
I take it this is a promo bit only and that the hotel will remove the net and the ground cover after the tourney?

Saw it on FOX. It wasn't a "match". It was a promo, only. (In fact the "court" was really scaled-down. Agassi could get from the Service line to the net in about three normal steps.)

Remember Mac and Steffi on the barge on the Thames? Same kind of promo....

That photo of Federer and Agassi looking over the edge is pretty funny, with Agassi lying on his stomach. They look like a couple of kids whose ball went into the neighbor's yard.
 
Imagine if they forgot how high up they were for a second a dived for a volley at the net, they could easily go voer the side fo that helli pad.

It's pretty scary just looking at the photo, never mind actually being up there, maybe when agassi and federer see the picture afterwards, they'll think twice about doing that again.

Appartently according to the bbc they had to stop after all the balls they had on hand went off the side.
 
They must be very very brave!!! to be up that high.. Just seen it on tv just now..Be wayyy to scary for me to be up that High...Just for fun.. I'll post the pic on here..

Actually, I think that was Johnny Mac and Monica Seles on that barge during last year's Wimbledon.

(I'm not sure if Mac and Steffi are still talking to each other after that 1999 Wimbledon mixed doubles fiasco.)
 
Can you image a freak gust of wind that just picks up Fed and hello Dubai dirt! Entirely possible. I wonder what their insurers thought of it?

i saw a video of them playing recently. they looked like they were playing at my half speed and who could blame them? those dubai boys must have really pulled one over on those two to convince them to do that.
