Agassi nike signature shoes

Will TW sell them too? ( I mean Air Tech Challenge)..
I don't know if they are going to be available here in Italy

From the Tennis Warehouse Forums...

TW,

Will you guys be carrying the Nike Air Tech Callenge retros that were released in Europe recently? If so, when can we expect them to be available for order?

http://www.hypebeast.com/2007/03/nik...allenge-retro/

At this point and time there are no plans of carrying the Air Tech Challenge at TW. The shoe does not have any of the support or durability technologies of the original. It is a retro, casual release only. Due to this, Nike has made it available only to fashion stores rather than tennis specialty stores, like TW.

Nike really should bring back the Implosions in all the orginal colorways, very nice shoes!

So Nike must not just be re-releasing the same old shoes using different materials. i was under the impression that they were just using the old molds and producing 20 year old shoes using cheaper materials and selling them for the same price they sold for 20 years ago. What makes the shoe not have the same technology that it had back then??? I can see using cheaper materials to produce the shoe but does that mean that these retros are essentially newly designed shoes or are the molds just being tweaked??

Keep in mind, I do feel Agassi's 1990 US Open version colors were different and were brighter as pictured but the general release are exactly as shown on the new retro version.

even if they couldn't use the flaming ball logo, i wish they would have at least kept the black part on the heal. a while ago i saw a sample version on *bay that was white and gray (where the yellow is). that version was sweeeet. will pick those up if they come out. go to this old *bay auction to see what i'm talking about. #110085043170

wow! those white/grey ones look great but I read that none of the retro models will be sold as performance tennis shoes, but rather as casual shoes (because of lack of lateral support compared to the originals or something like that), any info on that?

here are the Courtposites that I wore today to work ;) They're gray and look okay enough for the Business Casual dress code. I rarely get called out for it.

As for tennis, when they were brand new, I felt they weren't nearly as low profile as the other shoes I've had like the Assailants and Zoom Air Beyond...

Now that I've worn them in, they're better but still not as good.

I would love to find a new pair of 10 or 10.5 Zoom Pounce or Zoom Ablaze...

any ideas? thanks (AND an AGASSI "A" hat).

Dude....either I'm blind or you guys definitely forgot about the Zoom Air Ablaze. Those were some awesome shoes...I SOOO wish I could have them. they had a really nice black/red, and also a white/blue. anyone find a pic? I'll try to find a link. they had magazine advertisements too :o

woot, just got a pair of nike air tech challenges in the yellow!!!! they feel kinda chunky. :) i might get rid of them soon if i find something more suitable for tennis. :P

^ They will...

Word on the street is that these will drop next summer... these 'spy photos', however, might not be representative of their final product... meaning the 'splatter' bits on the side might still end up being lava-pink, like the OG...

btw, these are me back in high school (i'm 3 years out of college now)...with my Zoom Air Assailants ;)

Loved the shoes. I got them at Footlocker, believe it or not. when I guess they used to have Nike tennis shoes. I remember them having the nike air max tennis shoes as well. I got these on sale for $50.00 I think. Probably cuz to most of the public they weren't selling ;)

I loved his nike shoes as well, its actually my favorite line ever. What nike did was pitiful though. They didnt want to give Agassi money for his charity, even though they have been making money off of him since 1989 and he helped keep the company afloat. Adidas gave his charity money so he went with them. Its kind of sad to see Agassi in Adidas, but Nike did him dirty.

yea thats messed up.

back on topic, i was at finish line and they had the old school Agassi shoes. i dont know which one though.

I found ALL of the Nike Challenges to be horrible tennis sneakers. Not durable or supportive of the ankle at all. They make great casual sneakers because they are extremely comfortable and great design. I found the Nike Flare Retro to be very uncomfortable but never had an ankle problem (mainly bcuz they hurt my feet so much I stopped wearing them).
The Breathes were probably the most exceptional out of them. I just ordered the Air Trainer 1 Retro and I am going to try those this summer.

Out of curiosity, anyone know where someone could pick up a pair of air challenge lwps in 10-11 or air zoom challenge court IIs in the same size range? They are impossible to find online, dagnabbit. Two of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I ever wore.
