We used to cruise a lot. We put a loudspeaker in the front grill of my friend's Oldsmobile Delta 88 and attached it to a CB. He was really good at sound effects (like the guy in Police Academy) so we would take off really slowly from a light while he would do a tire squeal sound effect on the loudspeaker. We got a lot of funny looks.

Singles hitter in 9th grade; got to 3rd base in a movie theater as a sophomore; moved from Germany back to the US while stranded on third; became a longhaired hippie with love beads and bellbottoms; my graduation gift to myself was a used ‘64 MG Midget that I drove to Byron GA and saw Jimi live two months before he died. Had hit a couple of home runs as a senior.

I remember those days well......

Me and Mary we met in high school
when she was just seventeen
We'd ride out of this valley down to where the fields were green

We'd go down to the river
And into the river we'd dive
Oh down to the river we'd ride

Then I got Mary pregnant
and man that was all she wrote
And for my nineteenth birthday I got a union card and a wedding coat
We went down to the courthouse
and the judge put it all to rest
No wedding day smiles no walk down the aisle
No flowers no wedding dress

So high school for me was just try to get out as early as possible and do the homework on the bus or the class before (never did it at home). Didn't have any friends and only one person I sort of talked to from time to time so obviously no prom, dances, or extracurricular activities. It was great though, after school I had plenty of time to go fishing on the boat or shooting.

Highschool also introduced me to tennis. Played it in gym class Mr. Trace and got hooked. The only team sport I ever played and still play.

I was in enviromental science class senior year and teacher announced we were going o go to the creek and check out the beaver damn. I very enthusiastically yelled "I love beaver" and he sent me to the principals office where they suspended me for 5 days.

When I returned the govt teacher welcomed me back by stating I was not to mention furry water bearing mammals in her classroom. Somehow the teachers heard about it and probably thought it was funny. I have to be one of the select few kids to get suspended from school for saying beaver.

During your suspension of that length you would have had time to squeeze in a road trip to Beaver Falls PA and written a report on your travels.

Same here. I did the parachute pants with the purple bandana around the thigh with black Chuck Taylors/ horizontal thick neon yellow laces. My group of friends went to every breakdancing movie in the 84-85 timeframe (Breakin, Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo and Beat Street).
I also wore the Alex P Keaton knit square bottom ties.

Me and Mary met in .pubic. school
she was anything but clean
We'd bang in the back of an alley, with my pipe that girl I'd ream

I'd deliver and make her shiver,
And from there I would muff dive
Her skin would q-q-quiver whenever I'd tan that fat girl's hide..

Then I forgot to strap my shlt,
and I gave her a 2nd coat,
I lost my lobster sauce, Mary looked like an ice-cream float
She's a brick.......house....
a not-so-tidy mighty, I like to monkey 'round in her blouse
I'd drag my stones . 'cross a mile of broken glass
to slap bellies with that big ol' girl and cop a feel of that big ol' as.s
. .You are more better-than-bacon. . . . . tru dat

My last real fight. Some guy sucker punched me in the nose and made it bleed all over, i was very angry. He ended up on his stomach getting hit in the back of the head trying to cover up. Was riding him like a horsey, perfect top control :)

No way in hell I would ever go to a reunion back in Michigan
I left and nobody has seen or heard from me; however , in Vegas I bumped into my brothers HS friend and we talked it up

Finally, could you meet with your brother?
I recall you were talking you were going to see each other like a couple of months ago, but he called it off.

A very famous soccer player I grew up with came to my birthday party where there is a massive roller coaster. Eccentric troublemaking Jewish friend who was the son of an infamous Hollywood director started freaking out at the top of the roller coaster. Soccer guy made fun of him. Director’s kid called him a ****** and the future pro soccer star started crying. It was surreal.
