saw on sneaker news this model would be rereleased first time sine 1984. anyone care about this basic gem of a shoe?
Mac Attack has no air and didn’t come out until 1985. In 1984 McEnroe Was still wearing Sergio Tacchini clothing and was wearing Nike Challenge Court shoes.saw on sneaker news this model would be rereleased first time sine 1984. anyone care about this basic gem of a shoe?
The originals didn’t have this thick of a midsole. Looks out of proportion compared to the originals of 1985
Wish Nike would release the matching checkerboard line to match the shoes. Can anyone share photos of Johny Mac wearing these in the 80's? Now, that would be really cool.
Now, that's much better. Thank you for sharing!Shazam!!!

There seems to be a good chance... We will have to see if what was leaked will be confirmedWish Nike would release the matching checkerboard line to match the shoes.
They’re thicker on the new onesSomething has changed with the soles but i can not understand what they modified...
Back in 1985 it wasn’t called “Air” Mac Attack. It was just Mac Attack. No air. Here is the info on the new Vapor 11 model.
Social Status is also getting their own exclusive colorways of this shoe.

I believe it’s a rubber outsole and the midsole is EVA.Air or not, hopefully they put in a decent midsole and a durable tennis outsole. Hoping the new ones have endurance outsoles to last on hardcourt. Wishful thinking for sure.

I guess yesterday’s high performance tennis shoe is today’s lifestyle shoe……. I’m going to get a pair too but I’ll only wear them on clay. Thanks! So it appears to be as the original. More of a lifestyle shoe. Will still snag a pair for nostalgia.

Yes, even the cupsole looks thiner. Maybe it's a player specific shoe.On the vintage pics, Mac is using an unreleased colorway, mix of the white and the grey models, with grey mesh on the forefoot.
Yes, the new ones look out proportion. Same with how McEnroe looked in his Pickleball match online. When you see pics of the vintage ones on **** for instance, that is not that obvious, the old ones look a bit slimmer at the front part, some sort of tappering.
Yes, new ones look like creepers or Doc Martens soles![]()
The new ones have a much thicker sole. It’s very strange proportions.Yes, even the cupsole looks thiner. Maybe it's a player specific shoe.
I agree, thicker sole, different last and possibly a different construction. The new ones look more bulbous and round, like classic english gentlemen's shoes. The new ones have a much thicker sole. It’s very strange proportions.

We have an APB in my town and I was able to get a 12 today. Like you, I was the only one in line. Seemed to be zero hype for these in Tallahassee. If anyone needs a pair, DM me and I’ll see if they have any sizes left. This thread got quiet. Was anyone else able to grab a pair of these? They seemed virtually impossible to get online this morning. Luckily I had two spots local to me that had these in store. The one spot I was the only one who waited outside for the store to open! These are great in hand. Upper materials are soft however the midsole is a little firm (probably due to the fact there is no air technology in these). Plenty comfortable for casual wear though.

There is no midsole on these, just a plain rubber cupsole. Their comfort, if there is any, would come from their insole only. This thread got quiet. Was anyone else able to grab a pair of these? Nike cares about profit margin, they don't care who ends up with the shoe as long as they sell out.seems nike only cares about collectors and resellers here
They are plenty comfortable for casual wear. They do run narrow though and I went up a half size.Reviews from people who bought them say they aren't comfortable. Maybe some here will report.
