They are only two players across the men's and women's fields who won their first final they played at each slam

Even the greatest of them all across all disciplines Kunieda, with his 28 slams, lost his first Wimbledon final.

Alcaraz has been setting some impressive records in the men‘s game in the Open Era:

1. Youngest to complete career slam
2. Only man to win all 4 slam titles on his first try at each final.
3. Only man to win consecutive slams on each surface
4. Most consecutive wins in 5-set matches(12; tied with Borg)
5. Youngest YE#1
6. Youngest to win 7 slam titles
7. Youngest player to win Masters titles on multiple surfaces.
8. Youngest player to win the Channel Slam
9. Best winning percentage in 5-set matches for a career

I am probably missing a few. But this Alcaraz fellow isn’t too shabby at the sport of tennis.

hard to call it a record when it depends so much on sample size.

I think Alcaraz now has the strongest case for the greatest youngster of all time.
I’d agree with that. I think that only Borg could possibly stand up, mostly because he skipped the AO almost every year. But I’d still probably lean towards Alcaraz, due to all of his records.

Yes, Borg had the strongest case of them all until very recently with what Alcaraz has just pulled off at AO.

I never had Nadal ahead of Borg, and I think that was the majority's thought process also. Borg was the absolute standard for best youngster, I do feel Alcaraz now has nudged past him.

Here's an interesting stat I came across.

Most titles before the age of 23:
Borg - 46
Nadal - 36
Sampras - 29
Alcaraz - 25

At this exact moment yes, but Alcaraz still has to perform well this year and the next to keep up, Borg had his best years in 1979-1980 aged 23-24. The good part is that Borg won nothing after 25, though LOL.
