Exciting match up ahead. I wonder, can Djokovic beat Alcaraz at his pet slam or is Alcaraz gonna beat old man once again?
Wimbledon 24 was a disaster for Djokovic, he quickly bounced back however few weeks later at olympics. Tbh I thought that Carlos would stomp old man into clay, boy how wrong I was.
My guess is that Djokovic is gonna try to rush Alcaraz s forehand and play more aggressive.
I do not believe however, that Djokovic will beat Alcaraz at BO5 format.
Alcaraz in 4 is my pick.

Trust me, the plague remains :whistle::whistle:
Love the profile pic. Brilliant. Will be a good clash this now the crowd will be loud and fired up thanks to Novak today lol. Novak is one of the top 3 players this last 20 years on his favourite court so he will have aura, but i cannot see him winning this and i think Alcaraz might give him the beat down of beat downs. If its a night match Alcaraz will win easily. If its a day match, and Djokovic might request a day match for two reasons, then i think it could go five sets as Alcaraz will struggle more on Novak's serve i feel.
Djokovic has two good reasons to demand a day match
1. His big wins over Alcaraz have been in sunny hot day conditions
2. The day crowd is docile, the night crowd can get boisterous and after his bizarre antics today they will be on his back big time

Mind says Alcaraz, as his legs are better and he should be able to dictate the rallies. Novak's not as good anymore when he's on the back foot, despite how good he's seemed the last 2 matches. Still, I gotta go with the heart and vote Djokovic in 4.

Oh im being specific. I mean that “huhhhhh AHHHHHH” when he stretches into a corner shot :D usually on a break point he didn’t deserve to get to in the first place :alien:
I love it haha but I can understand why you don't! I really do think you'll miss seeing those moments when he's gone. ;)

I assure you I won’t lol. I was genuinely happy for him when he won the Olympics, and he has my respect. But he doesn’t need to be winning this tournament at almost 38, it’s time for tennis to move on. Nadal finally getting a second AO and revenge for RG21 was a great end. Novak getting the final title he needed was a great end, enough is enough.

Novak wins quarters then loses in the finals and then I complain he needs to focus on Wim and USO exclusively while adding masters titles preparing for those two slams.

In the process he takes away Federer’s last records and then the haters do their thing as usual :-D

Djokovic takes the opening set while Charlie adjusts to the nighttime conditions, but eventually figures it out and outlasts the old man in 5.

Djokovic leverages any and all help he can get.

Constantly getting new insights by rotating high-profile coaches, using conservative, defensive, lockdown approach in big matches and big games/big points, using a double handed BH, going for offense when it is safe .. he has mastered pooling in any and all resources to reach goals.

Only thing is. The pressure is constantly on Carlos and sinner now to beat Djoker every time they step on the court. One big slam loss and their credibility takes a huge hit losing to grandpa in ‘25. There’s no pressure on Djoker anymore since he isn’t expected to beat sinner and Carlos now at his age and mileage

Djoker can go out there and play freely. That’s just a horrible look if either guy loses to Djoker now in 2025 since there is zero excuse at this point to lose to him unless they had a bad injury or something. They should never be outplayed at this point

Imagine how bad feds legacy would have taken a hit if he lost to sciatica Agassi in those us open matches. That’s basically the equivalent here

Lol, even still sciatica agassi won cincy beforehand with a pretty tough draw. Djoko lost to Opelka in Brisbane, this would be probably more embarrassing especially for sinner.

If novak breaks fedrer 103 titles record i hope fedrer should be the first person to congratulate him . You can hate him you can love him but you can not ignore novak.

u mean the top player in any century

I am way off the ATP side so far besides watching Monfils, Fonseca and Tien, can someone tell me whether Machac and Lehecka were abysmal against Djoker or did Noval played really well ?
Also, who is the most impressive as of now in this half between Carlos, Djokovic and Z?

Djokovic from highlights played video game tennis vs machac.

Vs lehecka he was ok.

The pressure is on Djokovic too. If he alllows Alcaraz or Sinner to get two consecutive slam wins over him, at his favourite slams, they'll never look back.

It will be over for him.

This year is novak last good chance to push for victory against alcaraz and sinner. Next year he will be almost 40 year in age and nobody who plays tennis will give him any chance against top 5....

i don't count it out; alcaraz is the favorite but his performance is far from granted, Sinner is also favorite against him but his ability to play a bo5 tournament from start to finish is not granted either.

What pressure does Djokovic have when he’s completed tennis? He’s won 24 slams, olympic gold, 40 masters, record weeks at no1, record year end titles, etc.

He’s 37 and not far off 38. It even really impressive he can still go deep into these tournaments and he’s the only guy left. He had zero pressure and playing on house money. Sinner and Alcaraz should beat him every time in big matches now so the pressure is fully on them to deliver. They are in their primes and expected to both be all time greats that break many records.

Thats true, but I don't believe that Alcaraz or Sinner have pressure either because they are very young. The pressure should fall on Zverev, its now or never.
